I cringe at Valentina’s harsh tone, even though it isn’t even directed at me. She isn’t wrong to shut them out after how they treated her, though.
I know her long and well enough to know she is holding back, but that she is absolutely boiling inside. Although I don’t think anybody misses the tension in the atmosphere and the clipped tone of her voice. “Oh… I-I see” the man responds dejectedly. Valentina has about the most stoic expression I have ever seen plastered on her face, as the man twists and turns uncomfortably.
“A-Alpha, please.. accept my apology” his tone is solemn, but it seems heartfelt. “For what exactly, warrior?” she quips back sharply.
