Hades

After the intense battle with Cerberus, Seraphim felt a searing pain shoot through her arm as she fell to her knees, clutching the wound where one of Cerberus's heads had bitten her. Rio rushed to her side, his expression filled with concern. "Seraphim, you're hurt!" Rio exclaimed, kneeling beside her. "We need to get you to the dark river. It's the only way to heal that wound." Seraphim gritted her teeth against the pain, nodding in agreement. With Rio's help, she managed to stand, determination burning in her eyes. They knew they had to find a way to reach the dark river, even if it meant facing Hades himself. As they approached the imposing castle of Hades, Seraphim couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. The castle loomed before them, its dark spires reaching towards the sky like claws. They were met at the gates by a group of skeletal guards, their eyes hollow and empty. Rio stepped forward, his voice firm. "We seek an audience with Hades," he said. "It is a matter of utmost importance." The guards hesitated for a moment, then nodded, opening the gates to allow them entry. As they walked through the castle's corridors, Seraphim couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled over her. Finally, they reached the throne room, where Hades sat upon his throne, his expression unreadable. Seraphim and Rio bowed before him, showing him the respect he was due. "Hades," Seraphim began, her voice trembling. "Please, I beg of you. Release Valerius. He does not deserve to be imprisoned." Hades regarded her for a moment, then spoke, his voice deep and resonant. "I understand your plea, child. But you must know the truth. It is not I who has imprisoned Valerius. It is Hecate, the goddess of magic. And.. go drink the water from the river to heal your wound." Seraphim's heart sank at his words. She had hoped that Hades would be able to help them, but now she realized that their journey would be even more difficult than she had imagined. "I will help you," Hades continued, surprising them both. "But you must owe me a favor in return." Seraphim and Rio exchanged a glance, their determination renewed. They knew they had to find a way to rescue Valerius from Hecate's clutches. "We accept your offer, Hades," Rio said, his voice steady. "We will do whatever it takes to free Valerius." With Hades's help, they set out on their next journey, determined to confront Hecate and free Valerius from her grasp. As they left the castle, the night sky above them seemed to twinkle with newfound hope, guiding their way forward into the unknown.
