Chapter 7
As Deanna and the kids were on the way home all she could think about was that poor excuse of a woman, how dare she ruin her day with her brothers. She was about to leave anyway but she just couldn’t believe the audacity and how did she even know they were there. Deanna didn’t want to spend too much time thinking about the events at the end of her great day with her brothers. She got to know her nephews, her sister in laws, she got to catch up on her brothers' lives, so all wasn’t a lost. She loved her big brothers they were the only family she had left, her parents chose Jasmine’s side, saying she didn’t mean to sleep with her husband it was just an accident. She told them to go to hell and that they were dead to her, although her mother tried for at least a year to get her to talk to them again, she just felt all was lost.
Once Deanna got home, she called her brother Isaac to let him know that she was home and asked him how did they know where that would be today? He said he didn’t know and was wondering the same thing, he hadn’t seen or spoken to either of them since Deanna left. Anna didn’t want to think any more about it, so she told her brother just that and moved on from the subject. As they were ending their conversation, she got a beep on her phone indicating she had a call, when she looked at the caller ID she didn’t recognize the number. Telling her brother, she would talk to him tomorrow, she picked up the other line, it was Jeron.
Jeron was a little nervous to talk to Deanna, he still loved her with all his heart and just wanted a chance to make it up to her. He knew he was wrong; he never got the chance to make it up to her because she left, he felt now was his chance. He would start by getting to know his kids, although he just met them he loved them already, they were great kids. Deanna had done a great job bringing them up, they were smart, and caring. The boys protected their sister always and that is the way he would have taught them had he been around them. He knew it was his fault that he wasn’t in their life, but he was here now and that is the way it would stay.
When Deanna answered the phone, he said “Hey, I just wanted to call and say thank you for letting me spend time with the kids and get to know them. I had a great time, and they seem to have to, just wondering when the next time I can spend time with them?”
Deanna answered “Hey Jeron you give me a day that you will be free, and I will let you come to pick them up, I’m really mentally exhausted right now so I am going to bed.”
Jeron tried to keep Deanna on the phone by saying “I’m sorry your brother and sister ruined your day, I didn’t think they would come and ruin things like that? Hell, I didn’t know that you all haven’t squashed everything yet. I always talk with Jacob, and he never mentioned it, in fact he didn’t mention to me that you don’t deal with him, what happened there? Had I known that you guys were speaking I would’ve never told him about the park in the first place.”
Deanna froze when she heard what Jeron said, that’s when it dawned on her that he was the one that told them about her family gathering, she couldn’t believe he was still in contact with that woman. She started laughing and said “So you're the one who told your b***h about my family gathering, I don’t f**k with her Jeron or her brother, those relationships ended 10 years ago, I want nothing to do with them, keep your b***h and her brother away from my kids, if I find out you have had them around I will stop you from seeing them.” She then hung up the phone.
Jeron was confused he didn’t know what to think much less say, she called Jasmine his b***h, Deanna must think he is still messing with her, she doesn’t know that they haven’t been together since she left. How could he get her back if she was assuming they were still together.
He wanted his wife back and he was going to do everything in his power to make that happen. He had to sit her down and have a long talk with her, to clear things up, explain how stupid he was for ever sleeping with her sister.
