Final talks

1083 Words

Friedrich's POV The snow crunches under my boots as I exited Bertha's cabin. A crunching sound behind me makes me turn, and I see Draven approach me with a gloomy look in his face. I did stop and wait for him. "So, are you ready for the raid?" he asks. "Not particularly," I reply with a hollow tone of voice. Draven watches me a moment longer before he jerks his head toward Bertha's cabin. "What happened in there? Did you tell her?" "Yeah, I did," I say, the weight of the words catching on my tongue. "She didn't take it very well." "Did you expect her to?" Draven raises an eyebrow. "You're askin her pack to evict their home. That's not somethin anyone takes lightly. I resumed walking. “I’m not asking her to do anything. My father is.” Draven lets out a sigh before he finally talks.
