Twenty Cassie I plopped a pillow against the washing machine in my tiny make shift bedroom, making myself comfortable as I listened to the soft hum of the dryer. Once in a while, Mama Flor had to throw in a load of clothes late at night. She did laundry for a couple of university professors for extra cash.
