31 A team of FBI agents scooped them up a few hundred yards from the fence line. Thank God, because even though Tobias didn't utter a single complaint, Carolyn knew he was hurting. She could sense it in the way he held his body and the clenching of his jaw. And because every cell of her body was attuned to his right now. He would have died for her. Willingly.
