Chapter 7: Fire

Author note: I am going back a few days to lead up to the fire. So it starts a few days prior to Jayden seeing the fire in the last chapter. It will meet up to current time rather quickly.

Lillys POV

Saturday morning I wake up and walk down stairs. I had only been eating at school and that was it. I was starting to think i was going crazy because i went into the woods daily but my wolf never showed up. "What are you doing?" Mrs. Johnson said as I stood in the kitchen. "Just getting a drink of water or is that not allowed" I snap at her causing her to make a face a me. "Whatever hurry up so I can make me and Jenny breakfast" she says and I chuckle. "You know you havent offered me food in over a week. I could call on you but sadly they don't listen to me so whats the point. Maybe if I lose enough weight they will believe me next time" i say as i took a glass of water and left the room. She started screaming at me about how that wasn't her job and I chuckled. "Ya right believe what you want" I mumbled as i walked back into my room. I started my homework when I heard a knock on the door. "What" I say looking up to see Emma. "Wow that's not a very nice way of saying hi" she chuckles as she closes the door. Emma was the only person allowed ovee because she use to be friends with Jenny at one point and still were friends just not as close. "So what ya working on" she says looking over my shoulder. "English" I mumble as I finish an essay. On my desk was a hand drawn picture of a wolf with a person next to it. "What's this?" Emma asks as she picks it up. "You would think I'm crazy" I say softly as i take the picture back. "Try me" she says and I sigh. "So I kind of befriended a wolf in the woods. Well I think I did. I havent seen my wolf in about two days now" I say feeling tears. "Its not crazy and I have a few times I have befriended a wolf myself" Emma said smiling. I smiled back at her. "That wasnt the reaction I was expecting" I say smiling and Emma chuckles. "I know and I will tell you more someother time but i wanted to know if you wanted to come over to my house for a little while" She says and I nod. "Do you have anything I could maybe eat for breakfast or lunch. I hate asking but I refuse to eat here" I say and Emma nods. "I will make you a ten course meal for the year if you come with me" she says and I chuckle. "Ok lets go" I say as we make our way out of the house. "Where are you going" Jenny says as I walk out the door. "Emmas" I say but not stop walking. "MOM!" Jenny screams as we keep walking. Soon Mrs. Johnson is yelling at me but I dont stop. We soon get to Emmas and it's the first time I see her house. She is only about six houses down from where I live. "Shocked I live so close" she says and I nod and chuckle. We walk in and her mom greets us. "This must me Lilly. Welcome sweetie you must be hungry or thirsty. Emma told me how you are treated. Please come in" she says ushering me to the kitchen. "Anything and everything is available minus the acohol because you two arent old enough yet" she says and I chuckle. "Yes ma'am thank you" I say as she pours me a glass of milk. "You can have milk right" she asks and I nod. "Not allergic to anything that I know of. Well minus silver it makes me itch a little. I like gold better anywhat" I say and Emma and her mom smile. "Emma why dont you show her around and remeber your uncle is coming by to drop sonething off for your dad" Emma's mom says and Emma nods. I could see that the relationship between Emma and her mom was totally differebt then Jenny and her mom. Soon a man knocks on the door and i hear Emmas mom talking to him. "Emma has her school friend here. The one we told you about" she said. "Ok thank you for the heads up. Is my brother home or no" he asks before they go silent. Emma pushs me around the corner just about then. "You have to meet my unclr he is so cool" Emma says almost pushing me into her uncle. "Uncle Steven this is my best friend Lilly that I have been talking about" Emma says and I blush. "Well Lilly its nice to meet you. I'm Steven" he says and I reach a hand out. I notice just how warm his hands feel. "Nice to meet you" I say feeling a little scared of him all of a sudden. But at the same time I felt safe around him too. "Well I need to go it was wonderful to finally meet you Lilly. Maybe Emma can bring you by my house sometime and you can hang with her cousin" he says as he leaves. "Why is your family so welcoming" I say once we are alone. "Its just how we are. I may have told them that your "family" its so great" she says using air quotes around the word family. Soon we were walking back to my place. Emma packed me a few things to eat in a bag that she said I could keep. I thanked hee at the door and walked inside. The second i walked in Mrs. Johnson started screaming. "Were have you been?! I have been looking all over for you! You cant just leave when ever you want. Dont make me call CPS and have them get you" she screamed and i smiled. "Maybe that's what I want" I scream and she slaps me across the face. This was the first time she laid a hand on me. Tear swell in my eyes before I run to my room. I cry myself to sleep and when i wake its morning. I sat up and sighed. Today is going to be a good day. I think as I walk out of my room. "What are you doing out of your room?" Mrs. Johnson asks putting her hands on her hips. "Also were did you steal the food from" she asks throwing and hitting me with the bag Emma gave me. "Emma and her parents gave me that" i say picking it up to see it was empty. "Well I gave it to Jenny and I eat some too. It wasnt a bad dinner and I didnt have to cook" she says and I lose it. "That wasnt your. It was mine you cant go through my stuff like that" i scream and she laughs. "Yes i can I can do what I want in my house. Now go to your room I dont want to see you today" she says and I run back to my room. I slam the door and through myself on the bed. I sit there for about an hour before deciding to leave. I pack a small bag with clothes and grab my hair brush. I climb out the window and then remember my photo. I race back in to grab it from under my pillow and then leave. I walk into the woods and turn to face the house. "I hope you burn you witch. Burn i say burn" I scream and all of a sudden flames appear next to me. I scream and jump back looking at my hands. The flames catch a tree and soon it is engulfed. I start to panic as ny hand burst into flames again and I try to shake them. A feeling of light headedness takes over and I almost fall. "Calm down sweetie breath" a women says as I pass out. I start to come too a little and hear growling and shouting. The smell of smoke filled my lungs for a minute before I passed back out. Upon waking up I realise im in an unfamiliar room. I begin to panic again. "Where am I" I say looking around and I see a women with long red hair walk towards me. "Shh your safe here hun. I'm Annabelle but you can call me Anna." She says as she touches my cheek. I flinch and slip back away from her so I'm against the wall. "Sweetie I'm not going to harm you but I do need to treat your burns some. They are almost healed which is amazing" she says and I look at my arms. I cant see any burns and she smiles. "Your foot and legs were burned. You passed out" she says softly. "I caused the fire but how" I say starting to panic again. "Shh I will explain that later but for now can I see your burns" she says and I nod. My heart is still beating rather quickly. She looks over my legs and suddenly her hands start to glow. My eyes widen as the burn stop starts to disappear. "How did you do that" I say grabbing her wrists not even realising I did. "I'm a witch like you are. We all kind of specialize in different type of magic. I'm a healer and water user. From what we detected and saw you are a fire style user." She says smiling at me. "But I cant be a witch. I dont know magic I dont have magic" I say trying to deny that I set fire to the forest and my foster familys house. "Well you are and I'm sure you will grow to accept it. Most people know from a young age but seeing your past I'm sure you didnt know. You look so much like my sister Jazz. But I doubt your related. She lived out east towards Georgia and Florida." Anna says. "I couldnt say for sure if I was or not. I never learned my birth parents names. Only that my sister passed away at the age of one and she was named Harmony" I say and Anna lets out a small gasp. "I need to go talk to someone but I'll be right back. Try not to stand until I get back" she says before darting from the room. I sat there wondering about everything she said.

Jaydens POV

As we reached the pack house i saw my dad outside. "Shift now" he said as I approached. "Simon told me witches too Lilly but also that he saw Lilly start the fire" my dad says and i give him a confused look. "Lilly starting the fire that doesnt sound right" I say not knowing for sure what happened before I showed up. "Jay I met her. She is wolf now Simon says she started the fire. Its impossible for her to be a hybrid. Its unheard of, the last hybird was years old. Most witches have gone into hiding and most dont find a werewolf mate. There are only three cases I have ever known of and only one where they actually could have given birth but that was ovee fourteen years ago. " my dad says as we walked into his office. "So what does that mean if by chance she is a hybrid" i say looking at him. "That means if she is your mate you will find out sooner. Unless her wolf is dormant. Sometimes hybrids don't get a wolf but she smell like one. I talked to Elders about it and if she is your mate we will protect her. If not then she will become an enemy to all the packs." He says and I slam my hands on the desk. "If she isnt my mate I wont let anything happen to her. I care for like a sister and I will not let you or anyone else harm her" i say and my father growls at me. "Thats not your choice" he says as we hear a knock on the door. "Simon just the wolf I wanted to talk too" my dad says as he lets me leave. My mind starts racing. I know that finding Lilly will be next to impossible. No one has seen witches in years and now it looks like they are closer than we knew. I sat down and couldnt get Lilly out of my head.

Lillys POV

I waited for Anna to come back when she did another women came with her. "Harmony this is Lilly." She said and my mouth dropped open. The women was actually my age but a little taller then me. The only difference was that she looked just like me. "Lilly..." Harmony says as tears swell in her eyes. I pull out the picture and look at me and my sister. I could tell we were identical twins and looking at Harmony Im soon crying too. "Your my sister" I say and Harmony nods. "They told the foster care I died because I got a witch foster mom. She could feel my powers and raised me in secret. She said since we were seprated they could never find you. But Anna here is our actual aunt." She says and I really start crying. "I have a family" I say in between sobs. Harmony pulls me into a hug and then pushes me back slightly. "I have one more bombshell to drop in you" she says and I swallow. "We are hybrids. Our mom was a witch, a very powerful one too. But our dad was a werewolf. We have run a few tests and think mine might be dormant but we think you might not be" she says and my breathing shallows. "So giant wolfs arenf just wolves" I say and Harmony nods. I feel my chest tighten slightly and then blackness takes over.

Harmonys POV

I watch my sister pass out and I smile. I had done the same thing when I found out. The only difference was that I was around 7 when I found out. "Anna what do we do if by chance she does have a wolf" I say looking at her. "Well we will talk to our only other Hybrid that is in a pack. She is the opposite and no one knows she is a hybrid. We have never had a full hybird, which means they can use both sides of their DNA. Most can only use one. But your parents were very special. Your mom was a hybrid with a dormant wolf side who mated with an alpha wolf who left his roll to protect her. Well we will see in the next couple years. Seeing as when you turn sixteen a wolf can talk to their human counterpart. Guess we have a year and a month to go. Since your birthdays are next month" Anna says and I nod. "Can I move my bed in here with her. I have always wanted to hang out with my sister" I say and Anna nods. "Ginger will want to meet her soon too. You will make the introduction as you are family and i will be there and take you both as students." Anna says and I nod. Ginger was the head of the witch Covent and in charge of all the witches. I just hoped that Lilly would accept everything quickly.

Author note:

Surpise we got to meet Lilly twin sister Harmony and her biological aunt Anna. So I dont know much about witches so this is my take on it and will not follow the traditional take on witches. This is also my first hybrid book I'm trying to write to I appologize if it doesnt flow as well as some others. Thank you again for reading this far. I will continue to follow Jayden and Lilly. I will occasionally put in Emma's POV so you can see how its all affecting her too. Thank you again.
