Chapter 5: My wolf

Emmas POV

After we dropped off Lilly I looked at Jayden. Normally he was annoyed with any of my friends. "Ok what gives " I say poking his side. "Emma not while I'm driving." Jayden says as he hits my hand away. "You liked her didnt you" I say in a teasing manner. "She was nice and I can smell the wolf on her too. I dont think she knows. I will talk to my dad. Maybe if he meets her we can find out for sure. If she cant come over on Saturday call my dad" Jayden says and I smile. "Your family is coming over for dinner on Friday again so why dont I get her to come to dinner. If I can" I say smiling. I could tell Jayden wasnt telling me something but I couldnt put my finger on it yet.

Lillys POV

Walking into the house and seeing Mr. Serious killed the mood. "What do you want" I ask him and Mrs. Johnson yells at me. "Well Lilly I wanted to see how you were doing here" He asking and I laugh. "Well if i get in trouble I dont get dinner. I get locked in my room. I get yelled at for things that I dont do and they make me walk home from school even though they pick up Jenny from school everyday" I shout out and Mrs. Johnsons face looses its color. "Well why dont you show me your room" Mr. Serious says as he writes a few things down. I take him up to my room and I point out the lock on the outside of the door. "See I cant lock my room from the inside only the outside" I comment as we walk into the room. He looks around and writes a few things. Then walks back down stairs. "So Mrs. Johnson I know your husband isnt here but I wanted to ask you about what Lilly told me. The lock to her room is on the outside why is this. " he asks and I stand just out of view. "Well it use to be our attic so we had a lock on it so Jenny couldnt get in there when she was little. We haven't switched the lock around yet." Mrs. Johnson said and I am just floored. "Now it was brought to my attention that Lilly isnt allow to eat dinner if she gets in trouble" He says and i listen to see what she has to say. "No thats not the case at all. She had gotten in trouble a few times but she didnt want to eat so she went to bed. I never told her she couldnt eat" Mrs. Johnson said. I leaned against the wall wondering how he was going to respond. "Ok well I will talk to Lilly and then I will be on my way. We are looking at her only staying with you for another month or two" he said as I came around the corner. Mrs. Johnsons smile faded when he said another couple months. "Ok I will let Eric know and I will have him call you when he gets back on monday" she said doing her forced smile. "Alright Lilly if you would come outside with me for a moment. Thank you again Mrs. Johnson" he said as he held the door for me. He closed it behind us before he started talking. "Young lady I know you dont like it here but lying abojt them starving you is not appropriate" he said. "I wasnt lying come back in a week without telling then and that lock will still be there I promise you that" I say but he shakes his head. "Lilly you need to behave. I dont have any other placement for you right now. You need to respect Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and not tell us lies about your living arragments" he says before walking away. "Have a good night and appologize to Mrs. Johnson" he said before climbing in his car and driving off. I stood there dumb founded that he didnt believe me. Maybe if I started to lose weight he would believe me. I gather my wits before going back inside. Once I cross the doorway Mrs. Johnson starts her screaming. "You dont tell them s**t like that lilly" Mrs. Johnson screamed. "No food for a week for that stunt" she said as she pointed to my room. "Well maybe I didnt want to eat so i could lose wait so you could grt in trouble" I scream back before running to my room. I grab my pack and jump onto the over hang. Soon I'm running into the woods. Maybe I could live with the wolf. It hadnt snowed yet so I figured how bad could it be.

I walked through the woods and looked around. It was a little chilly the more I walked. I kept walking before I sat down. My fingers were getting a little cold. I wish I had fire. I think as I curl up next to a tree. I shiver and I can now see my breath. Please wolf I need you. I think to myself as I cover my face. Darkness soon started to sink in and I fell asleep. I wake up shivering and no wolf to be found. Maybe I was imagening my wolf. I stand up and slowly walk towards the Johnsons house. I get close to the edge when I see a large black wolf walking towards me. I smile thinking its my wolf just to have them snarl at me. I freeze and dont know what to do. Panic sets in as the wolf comes towards me little by little. "Please I'm sorry. Dont hurt me" I say starting to cry. My legs wont move as the wolf comes within a hundred feet of me. Suddenly a wolf with a grey back and tan under belly jumps out and knocks the black wolf over. The snarl at each other for a moment before the black one leaves. "I thought you werent real" I whisper as I drop to my knees. My heart is still racing and I start to cry. My wolf walks over to me and wraps its body around me.My wolf nuzzles into my chest and I hold it crying into its fur. My heart starts to slow back down to a normal pace as I sit up a little. "I'm glad that other wolf didnt harm you. I'm sorry I was out here" I ask softly peting my wolfs head. "My social services worker came today. I told him about not eating when they got mad and he didnt believe me. He told me to stop lying and that I was in a good home" I ask feeling myself get a little angry. "Now I dont get to eat for the weekend I have to meet with Emma but they probably wont let me. I wish I knew where Emma lived so I could just go over there. " I say almost screaming the first part. "I wish I could see the stars. I heard that out west you could see millions of them" I ask looking up. My wolf nudged me and I moved. It stoof up but then laid down. I stand up and walk up to it. "You want me to climb on you?" I ask and my wolf gives me a bark. "Ok" I say climbing up onto its back. My wolf stood up and I leaned forward grabbing a handful of fur to hold onto. Soon my wolf started walking and slowly got a little faster. I could feel the wind against my face. My smile streched across my whole face as we traveled. "Wahooo" I yell out with a giggle and my wolf lets out a bark. Soon we come to a clearing and I look up. Millions if stars shine down. "Oh my gosh" I say leaning back on my wolf. I see a few shooting stars. "Make a wish" I say while closing my eyes. I smile before opening them. I dont know how long we watched the stars before I started yawning. "Alright bud" I say softly. "Why dont you take me home before I fall asleep" I say yawning again. We go back towards my house and my wolf stops near the edge. I climb down and give my wolf a huge hug. "Thank you for everything" I say softly before walking towards the house.

"Wolf"s POV

I watched the girl go towards the awful house. I wish I could go and rip out their throats for causing her so much pain. I planned to talk to my dad. I felt the mate pull slightly to her but she was still too young. Even if she felt anything I was eighteen and she was fourteen. I was curious when she turned fifteen. I know Emma and her were best friends so I knew I would be seeing her again sooner rather then later. I watched her climb into her room and then shifted. I sat here most nights watching her room. I was her shoulder to cry on and she didnt even know who I was yet. The black wolf I snarled at earlier was my father's beta. He thought she was a hunter seeing as many of the humans near here have there myths about us. We try to keep things secret but some times a hunter sees us. "Hey" a voice calls from behind me. I turn to see my dad. "Why are you watching the Johnsons house?" He asks placing a hand on my shoulder. "I think the new girl might be my mate" I say as she walks into view of the window. "If she is human son then you will have to wait until she is 18 to reject her. If by chance she is wolf then the choice is yours" he said to me and I sighed. "Jayden you watch her and keep her safe" my dad sayd before shifting and leaving.

How many figured out that Lillys wolf was Jayden. I will start to follow Jayden around a little in the next few chapters. Since he is older he will give more a few on the pack.Hopefully this will be the shortest chapter. A few changes are going to come to Lilly and possibly a few things about her past might pop out.
