“Turn on the television,” I said to Xander, desperation creeping into my voice.
He looked at me, brow furrowed with curiosity. “What’s going on, Reynold?”
Without waiting for an answer, he picked up the remote and switched on the TV. My smirk widened the moment the headline flashed across the screen.
“Breaking News: Miles Harrington Accused of Abusing His Sister and Fake Wife.”
Xander read the headline aloud, his confusion evident. “What the hell…? Reynold, did you do this?”
I didn’t answer right away. I just stared at the screen, my smile stretching slowly across my face. Then I rose from the couch with a gleam in my eye.
“Finally,” I said, voice tinged with satisfaction. “Something to be happy about. This is just the beginning of his downfall.”
