“This feels so surreal… how is this even possible?” Daphne’s voice trembled with disbelief, her brows furrowed in confusion.
I couldn’t stop the rush of emotion building in my chest. “Maybe that’s why it was so easy for me to fall in love with you, Daphne,” I said softly, my voice thick with emotion as I clasped her hands tightly in mine. “You were the one who saved me all those years ago.”
