Miles’s POV The laptop finally powered on, and I let out a breath I didn’t realize I’d been holding. “I didn’t back up the file,” I muttered, a wave of disappointment hitting me hard. “Daphne shouldn’t have tampered with it,” Anna chimed in, her voice tinged with concern. “I tried to warn her not to touch anything, but she insisted.” “You don’t have to worry,” Daphne said calmly from across the room. “I backed it up before it shut down.” I quickly checked the system.
