Daphne’s POV Miles and I walk side by side through the museum, but we don’t look like a couple. We barely even look like acquaintances—just two people walking in the same direction. He hasn’t met my eyes once, and I know exactly why. Is he still mad about that picture? That would be ridiculous. “Come this way,” a worker says, leading us deeper inside. The artifacts seem unreal, each sculpture and painting more intricate than the last. The artists must have poured their souls into these.
