Chapter 1

426 Words
Katie slowly opened her eyes, hard as it was, this time she would open them. She felt she was being rocked, like a child to sleep, it felt good. She wanted to stay there a while longer, she wanted to be in this state a little while longer, but she knew she had to wake up and face the consequences. Katie knew she was a stubborn woman, spoiled and reckless, she did everything she did to demand attention from her parents and soon to be arranged husband. But this time she had gone far, she had piloted an unsanctioned spaceship out of anger and had collided with asteroids trying to escape Pete. "Finally awake little human?" A thunderous voice filled her ears and she couldn't help but want to hear more. She opened her eyes and looked straight at the chiseled toned face, dark sharp eyes that were now holding hers captive and fangs protruding from a beautiful kissable mouth. She wanted to kiss him, feel how hard he could love her mouth, and make her want him more. Katie looked at the man holding her and suddenly shot out from his hold. "Jesus freaking Christ, fangs!" She yelled, pointing her finger to his face. "Beautiful, aren't they?" Jake traced a finger on his fangs and smiled at her. He loved that she was freaking out despite having ogled him a while ago. She had thought of him beautiful, he knew it, she saw it on her face and in her eyes. He couldn't imagine what she'd do if she saw Dane. Dane's face wasn't welcoming, it was marred with battle wounds and his body was huge and ripped straight from his eyes. "Oh my God, you're huge!" Her eyes were now popping out and Jake was starting not to like her attitude. She wasn't going to run away, he couldn't let her, he wouldn't. "I gathered that from your small body. It felt like I was holding a baby. What's your name little human?" Jake crossed his legs and looked at the small woman in front of him. She was truly a sight to behold. Their women weren't this delicate, small and tender, they were small but not this small. "Katie." she answered. "Katie." He repeated. "So Katie, what were you doing in my orbit. What was chasing you?" He asked, because he wanted to keep her there a little while longer. He knew what was chasing her, he knew the space s**t, he just didn't know why that particular spaceship was going after her.
