"How did you know?" Jake asked.
"We have a city just like this one back on earth, it's our capital city."
That couldn't possibly be true, Jake looked at the woman next to him, she knew his planet, she was pretending.
"Flying city is also our capital."
"Huh, that's weird,"
Jake pulled into his gate and packed in front of his door. Katie sat there, dumbfounded.
"Don't tell me, you know this house too."
"Yes, it's the president's cottage. Gifted to him by the queen."
That was also true, only that they didn't have presidents here, they had Kings and barons.
"I think I know why I'm here,"
"And why's that?"
"I've been sent here, by Kai, to find and defeat Pete." She said, amazed.
"What do you mean to defeat Pete?"
"How do you know Pete?" She turned to face him.
"He's the intergalactic conman, steals from planets and is very notorious for trafficking women. He has exceptional skills when it comes to craft building and has been stealing different kinds of elements to build the perfect and undetectable war ship. On top of all that, we recently come to information that he has located us and was preparing an attack on this planet." He stated.
'You see, that's not the same Pete I know, the Pete I know is a power hungry filthy rich middle aged man who has earned his money from illegal sell of a drug called Pish. He is the worst, and I think your world is my word in another dimension." She said. I'm here to stop Pete, but how?"
Jake looked at Katie for a while. Just that morning he had put together a Dark team with specific instructions to hunt Pete and deliver every information they could gather on him, his allies, associates, enemies and rats like him who benefited from his business schemes, an hour later, a strange spaceship blasts into his orbit, with Pete on it's tail, forcing his hand to protect her, and now she claims to be a part if an undercover mission he hadn't spoken out loud to anyone. Even his Dark Team had used code.
"What makes you think so?"
You'll think I'm crazy if I tell you, but believe me it's the truth. I've lived my life thinking it was a load of bull crap too, but now, I don't think it was a load of s**t, I think it's real." She looked like she was about to say something she doesn't believe in, but he let her anyway. After all, if he was going to be able to get her in bed with him, he had to give her the attention, even though he was growing impatient.
Jake looked at the woman before him and smiled.
"Maybe we should have this talk after we're well acquainted. I have tea, let's go in."
They both walked slowly towards his front door both in deep thoughts, as much that Katie didn't realize that she had greeted the door man in his actual name. Jake thought to mention it but let it slide, if this was a facade, he had more hope of uncovering the truth if he let her be, and not constantly remind her to give her story more backbone.
