Luna’s Nightmare Redemption

Chapter 3

I was too flustered to speak but I know he got my answer when I let him kiss my hand “I know you do not want to say anything but I need to tell me that you agree to be mine, I’m not forcing you though my lady, it’s your choi…” “Yes, I’ll be yours” I didn’t even let him finish. Now I’ll be his, Knox’s wife, the dark Alpha’s woman, Tania Knox Leighton, I didn’t seem to care, at least I would be loved and cared for, my stepmother would regret her actions towards me, I’m going to make sure of that, for now, I’ll enjoy the rights of being a Luna.

Her eyes were sealed shut when I got into the woods for a night snack, her clothes drenched in water but they hadn’t been any rain today, it was her, the young maiden from before, the one with the clear hazel eyes, her chestnut hair wet, she looked too uncatered for, I thought to myself as my eyes became more subtle after seeing her face.

There was something alluring about her, I think it’s her scent, I feel too drawn to her and I have been seeing her at awfully different places, her eyes began to slowly open, I took her hand, picking her up against my body, she felt too light for even a human.

I have never believed in fate since I was cast down to this earth, I have been living without love or the feelings of a human but why does my heart keep racing whenever I am in contact with her or even she looks in my direction, I kept thinking to myself as I carried her all the way to my home.

“Get a change of clothes” I said once I got home, keeping her gently on the bed in the room close to mine, Gianna, the eldest maid and closest one got me my robe “Master, please here is a change of clothes for you” she said as I didn’t notice because I saw the injuries on this maiden’s body, I haven’t known of her name yet I have this urge to care for her as my eyes tend to change its color whenever I’m around her.

I took the robe, wearing it and I stared at her, her pitched nose facing the ceiling, her face seemed unharmed and quite beautiful, her cherry red lips were alluring, her hair had become dry and even in the mess was still in place, I decided to let her have her rest.

I had to go my study, leaving her in the care of Gianna and some of the maids “Tell me when she’s conscious and yes, no one should wake her up or talk to her, I’ll be the first to speak to her” I said leaving her in their care.

I was so surprised when someone came knocking only after few hours “The maiden has awaken, Master” it was Gianna as she was the only maid allowed into my study. I looked quite flustered as it was amazing how she had woken up so quickly “I’ll be right there” I said taking up my shirt with unfinished buttoning.

I noticed she had just opened her eyes and tried understanding the situation she was in, I could feel her inner panic “I can see you have awoken” I said looking at her eyes then at the wounds on her hands, I thought to myself as why would anyone torture such a young lady, the sores on her feet, I remembered how malicious humans could really be.

I felt that she wouldn’t hold much of a conversation so I only asked her name after I told her mine, she seemed surprised , I have a feeling she has knowledge of me but doesn’t remember who I am, I let her rest some more.

I left the room to have some fresh air knowing fully well that sooner or later I’ll have to make her mine, I can’t let anyone have her, she’s more valuable than I thought, that necklace, she is the descendant of Ivriah, the missing angel, she’s the only way I can get my wings back, I completely forgot the reason why I was outside as I was in deep thoughts.

“There’s only one way I can keep her close to me, marrying her, that is the only way, no wonder she was always alluring, her soul was calling out to me” I muttered to myself.

A maid hurriedly came outside to the balcony “Master, lady Tania has awoken again” she said bowing slightly, I raised my brows and stood up to see her in the hallway, I signaled the maid to leave, her intention was to leave “Where does she think she can run from me?” I said admiring her courage to avoid me.

“Where do you think you’re going?” I said staring deep into her eyes, she froze right in front of me, watching her eyes as she couldn’t come up with a lie, I could see that she was wearing the dress I picked out for her, I feel she’s the stubborn type who wouldn’t listen when it came to resting.

I took her hand in mine and picked her up effortlessly, while she covered her mouth from and walked straight to her room, laying her gently on the bed, I could see her inner panic as she watched my eyes, while I walked away leaving her to rest for the night.

The morning came quickly as I had work to do, the meetings were arranged consequentially, I had gotten ready and checked on Tania to find her laying still in bed.

Feeling relieved I left for the meeting, I made sure to be done quickly so I could see her awake. Turns out that she had prepared a meal for me when I got home, the food set before me had an aroma but her scent was etched in my nostrils and mind, I asked her to stand closer to me while I told the maids to leave, pulling her to sit with me on my lap, I could see her face turn red, I enjoyed seeing her flustered “Do you dislike me so much?” I asked as her face was turned away from me, bringing her face and her thoughts back to me after she had answered “Then be mine” I said after a short while.

She seemed a bit unsure as she stared at me, I assured her that it was strictly her choice when she cut me off “Yes, I’ll be yours” she said making my heart burn for her even more, she said she would be mine, I’ll get my wings back and reign terror into the hearts of humans once again and I never have to feed on lowly humans anymore, I felt my heart race even faster when she took my name to hers, this will be the beginning of the end of those humans who hurt her.

I didn’t know what marriage would feel like, Lord Knox requested that I wear the dress of my choice and so there were options of dresses, I had to put on a corset strap, one I had never worn because I was never treated as human for the last 14 years, I took pride in my status now and picked a bright red dress as it caught my eyes.

The eldest maid introduced herself as I picked the dress, I slightly bowed show respect, as respecting my elders had been my firm commitment “I am Gianna, I’m the eldest maid of the Leighton house, please my lady, do not bow to me, I am yours servant” the older looking lady said smiling at me.

I walked up to her holding her hand “But I wish to do this, I would never forget my morals, lady Gianna” I said smiling a little.

I had picked the dress and now was the process, a maid took up the corset strap and wrapped it on my body, covering my breasts, I suddenly felt someone pull the straps till it was too tight “My lady, your body is quite fitted, the strap takes no time on you” the maid in charge of the dress said, I didn’t know if it was a compliment or not as this was my first time using a luxurious dress, she still held the strap pushing my back so it would have the corset effect.

I felt secured yet I couldn’t breathe fully, I felt really beautiful, then she brought the crinoline, I had only seen one when my sister and mother dressed up for balls, she put the crinoline on my body, I never felt this weight on me, I smiled as she put it on, she smiled assuring me that it was okay, then she put the dress over the bars and now it was time for my hair.

I had never put much thought or effort into my appearance, she ran the comb through my hair, I felt her hand caress it gently, since I was already standing she decided to give a simple style to my hair, she made me feel even prettier and when I saw myself in the mirror I could barely believe it. “My lady, what is left is some face powder and the lip cherry” she said.

I nodded in approval, she applied it softly with a peculiar brush, I could feel my face light up, she gently applied the lip cherry on the top and bottom parts of my lips, demonstrating what to do to get it all over, I smiled while doing it as I thought it fun to have her do my makeup,
