Kelly was worried she might be biting more than she could chew. She knew nothing about Andreas but she was willing to try dating him.
“I’m not sure, Maria,” she told her friend through the phone. “I want to but I’m scared.”
“I was scared too when Blake told me he was a vampire,” her friend reassured her.
“It’s not just the vampire thing,” Kelly argued, “he’s older. What if he finds me childish? What if I’m not as good as Roselyn was? What if he thinks I’m too easy?”
“Look here, missy, you’re anything but childish,” Maria countered, “you act like a fool sometimes but you’re not childish, nor slutty.”
Kelly giggled in relief at that. Talking with her best friend was what she had needed to get her head back in the game.
“Feel better?” Maria asked softly.
“Yes, much better, thanks.” Kel
