Chapter 3 - For The One Who Fails

"Every game has its rules! Every game has a prize! Every game has explanation! For the one who fails to complete the challenge will meet their end and demise". Azethyst shouted.

*Swoooshhh!!

"Azethyst threw his scyte fiercely and it flew straight swirling. As the scyte hits the trees, all the trunks got split and fell to the ground".

Unable to move while hearing his announcement made us panic. Thinking of how we can uncuff ourselves without using a key for survival is way to unrealistic and impossible". King grasped

"The fact that for every attempt we took will make our cuffs and chain become tighter and tighter. Most of us got lost on our thoughts. Thinking for a way to survive".

"Azethyst looked at us coldly. He knew that its impossible for us to beat his challenge without using a tricks nor a cheats. He even announced that we cant cheat in front of him. If we do, we will taste his wrath and meet our end".

"This challenge is way too obvious. He plans to kill us all at once. As Azethyst stood in front of us fiercely, he finally announce the second warning of the game".

Azethyst: As you all see, i threw my scyte fiercely. That scyte will return to my hands in a short while. In other words, that will be the time limit for you to beat the challenge! You cant beat the challenge? Then your head will end up flying! Bwahahahaha!"

"Hearing the second announcement made us hopeless. I can tell that its not only me who had this feeling but also the rest of us. Hearing the second announcement made the others act deliberately as they tried to uncuff themselves to survive".

"Several beeps can be heard and most of them collapsed. Theres no time to feel hopeless. I wanted to see Shawn! I wanted to survive! I wanted to go home!" King continued

"Trying to look for a way, I tried to move my body as hard as I could. I wanted to look for a way and see the others".

"Finally, I was able to move for a bit and can see the others. They are not doing anything. It seems that they gave up their lives easily. The others are unconscious".

"As I look at them hopelessly, I saw an item reflecting on the sun. It seems that this little girl wore something and its painful to see".

"My instinct is telling me to go there and get it. I dont know whats that for. So instead of doing nothing, I decided to go there. Knowing the risk of being killed is no longer within my thoughts. All I want to do is I need to get there and check it".

"The little girl with a shiny object was in the opposite direction where I am. It seems that shes still unconscious but her partner whose on her back is not. I tried to get in touch with her as hard as I could".

"We're almost there! I can see it! As I approach her, the others did the same. Looking for a way to survive is one of our concern. Then I realize that the shiny thing is her hair clip".

"An idea crossed my mind. I tried to face someone and kick him to notice me. He stopped and looked at me furiously. I tried to converse with him but he cant understand my words. So I tried point my mouth and made a no sign".

"Luckily,his quite intermediate to know what I'm supposed to say. He then nods and stay still. As i tried to remove his mouth cover, Azethyst looked at me coldly. Then, he gave me a devillish smile and began to laugh".

"I thought that its the end for me but it doesnt matter. Communication is a must for us to survive. I finally remove his mouth cover and he did the same thing to me.

King: Whew! Good thing you understood me. Well done bro! Im King. You?

Man: I'm Erick! Nice to meet you! So whats the plan? We need to be fast or else were doomed!

King: Definitely! I saw a hairpin. Its on the little girls head. Do you know how to use it to unlock cuffs?

Erick: No! I havent tried! But its worth a shot! Were dead anyway!

King: That girl is on your back infront of the person whose tied at you. Can you get it and uncuff the two of them?

Erick: Then how about us? We should secure ourselves first!

King: I know! Thats the reason why we need her to be uncuff first. We need her to help us all. It will be more faster if she can ran freely right?

Erick: Gotcha! Your smart bro! Good thinking!

"Erick tried to turn his position bit by bit until he fully turned. Then, he move himself as hard as he can and went to the little girl. Until, he reached his destination. He decided to uncover the mouth of the girl whos partnered with the little girl".

"I cant hear what they are saying but I can tell that they both agreed to my plan. Erick tried to free the girl. It seems that his having a hard time freeing the girl. I tried to approach them bit by bit but the guy on my back is far to heavy. I cant maintain my strength in moving. So I decided to relax".

"Till such then that I heard the swishing sound from a far. It seems that something is swishing back. I ignore it. I wanted to focus on the task in getting there. Time passed quickly, so its better for me not to feel relax".

Erick: Yes! Its finally unlocked! Only the cuffs on her legs and the chain on her neck was left.

Girl: Thank you for helping me! Now its my turn!

Erick: Heres the thing that you need to do! Uncuff my hands and I will do the rest!

Girl: Okay!

In a short while, the others began to scream when they saw the scyte becoming clear in the picture. The scyte cuts the trees on its path. All of a sudden, the others began to panic and cried".

King: Erick! Make is fast bro! I can hear the scyte! I guess its almost near to us. We will all die it you cant unlock yourself!

Erick: I know!! Stay still!! Dont make me panic as I am concentrating.

King: Be quick bro! After your done! Help me out here to help others. We need to act fast or else we die!

Erick: Copy!

"Erick took time in removing himself. It seems that the time is not enough to uncuff ourselves. It seems that I am in a position where I can definitely tell that I wont survive."

"I dont have any options now. I guess this is the end for me. As I began to see the scyte spinning in depths of the woods, I started to recall my life. It was a complete mess. Im just a bystander who dont have achievements and is unfortunate in life".

"Till such then, it became lively. I started to love my life after I met Shawn. It was coincidental yet precious to me."

"I was on the park, thinking of nothing. I always hated the world for giving me this aweful life. My life was a complete sh*t when my dad and my mom died. I was an orphan."

"My life bagan to change after I met a clueless little guy with an innocent eyes. Remembering his face was a truely a bliss. He looks stupid but yet charming. Were friends who got coincidentally inlove to each other."

"Thinking back makes my heart pain! I wanted to see his precious smile. His glimpse and composure that was full of innocence. The touch of his tender lips. The touch of his arms! His hugs. I wanted to feel him again inside of me!"

"Remembering Shawn makes me realize that I still wanted to live. Reminiscing him was not a joke. It gives me the courage to endure things. I never thought that love can make you brave. The last time when I was with him is he gave me necklace. Its was a figure of hearts that was split into 2. But if the two of you are together it will become one."

" Thats when I decided to get back on my feet and tried to move to Erick as fast as I could. I dont want my life to end like this! The girl is still trying to unlock Erick's cuff but it wont budge. I told Erick to uncuff me first for me to uncuff him fast."

"After the cuff of my hands got lifted. I uncuff Erick's neck chain. Everything went smoothly until the scyte is now showing its path on the back. Several trees fell and any minute or 2 were the next. Among the circles, it was me and Erick before the girl. We need to beat the challenge or we will be the first who will become a meat".

"Dozens began to panic and others froze. As I tried to unlock myself from the shackles,there was someone who tried to help me uncuffing it. It seems that he beat the challenge early and is willing to help others. Till such then, the time is up and the scyte flew straight towards us."

"It was a mere luck that I survive. Without the help of a stranger, I know for sure that I'm done. I didnt even notice that once our cuff wore off, it will be the same with our partners."

Rrrriiiinnnggggg!!!! (The alarm sound loudly)

"Times up!!!" Azethyst shouted

"Most of the participants stand by. It seems that all of us were alive in the first trial. As I look at the man on my back whose been lying on the ground for quite some time. I got shocked. His body figure looks very familiar and I know for certain whom it would be"

"He was Shawn! The man that I love the most!".
