CHAPTER THIRTEEN

JESSICA

"Okay, Ashley, you should be nice to both the new cleaner and Jessica, I know how to tend to do things, you have this bully nature and I know how you can be, you should behave yourself." Richard says as he warns Ashley about her behaviour.

"Oh come on, I am nice aren't I?" Ashley says as she crosses and folds her ams, we both know she isn't nice.

"Gather around, we are done for the day. Thankfully we didn't have any lingering customers, so you guys can all have nice evening, The curfew for those that live here is ten pm sharp, no lesser, I close the door." Richard says firmly.

"Oh that seems way too early for us, I mean." Jessica says as she is a night crawler.

"Yeah right." Ashley throws shade.

"Do you have a problem- with me?" Jessica asks Ashley loud and clear.

"Yeah, I have problems with fake people, you really should remove those fake contact lenses, you aren't fooling anyone." Ashley replies her back.

"For what it's worth, I like her eye color." Anthony replies Ashley.

"Oh zip it, mop hair." Ashley replies Anthony as she walks up to Jessica.

"Alright calm down, that is enough. please Ashley. you already have two strikes, Don't make it worse." Richard finalises.

"And for dinner we are having Ramen." Richard adds he claps his hands,

"what's Ramen?" Jessica asks looking looking Richard .

"Oh Common, you guys are buying this?" Before Richard or anyone could answer, Ashley replies sarcastically

"she doesn't know what Ramen is? come on you guys, you are being fooled." Ashley says in a loud tone.

"I am sorry, but I didn't grow up in the streets neither am i uncultured, do you think five star hotels and restaurants serve Ramen?" Jessica fires back at Ashley.

Ashley gulps and shakes her head. "Well, whatever you are a fake. " Ashley replies Jessica.

"Oh, Jessica. Ramen is frozen noodles, noodles are like spaghetti, just a little bit different and more flavour filled." Richard replies.

"Ashley, see me in my office." Richard adds the twins watched in silence.

Jessica goes on to check the frozen Ramen and she as soon as she sets her eyes on them she shreiks.

"This are frozen worms! and you all eat those? Jessica asks Anthony who is beside her.

"There aren't frozen worms, they are noodles." Anthony explains

"The only noodles I know are those white small ones, are they the same?" Jessica asks as she is confused.

"No but they are the in the same family." Anthony adds.

"You know we can go for dinner and then for a walk, that's if you want I really don't see myself stuck here for the next two hours, sure I have my phone and all but it is not the reason I came here, I need to do my research and all." Anthony suggests as he and Jessica enters the room together.

"I would have love too, but my accounts are frozen and yeah I will have to eat those frozen worms." Jessica says as she goes to the bed.

"Today was so stressful. I wonder how people do this, day after day and after day, I should be in- in my office all day, and in my princess bed, having a nice dinner and and." Jessica sighs.

"The great great great grand daughter of Elsmeralda Amor is working in a goddamn supermart, where did my life go wrong." Jessica asks as she arranges her bed.

"I will need to call my lawyer and check for my secret savings, it would take fourty eight hours for me to gain access and yeah I would huh I will have my own money and not be in this dump, I will move out and rent a condo or something. yeah, I can't stay here no offence Anthony." Jessica adds as she paces around the room.

"You know I never said you would pay for it and besides the walk is for my project and i am sure you don't want to be in this dump with Ashley-" Anthony says as he stretches his hands out.

what? do they know each other from the past? or have they been friends before, I don't know they sound like a couple to me." Jane says on purpose to piss off her twin as she eaves drops on Anthony and Jessica.

"yeah I am suspicious too, did you see how he defended her from Ashley? if you ask me there's something going on." Judith replies her twin.

"Okay, fine! I guess you convinced me but this is mostly because I don't want to eat frozen worms and i- I could use a walk, just to be clear we are not friends, we are just co workers." Jessica says as she stands up firm.

"But of Course, Miss Jessica- I know you are Jessica Amor but shouldn't you be the new President of Amor Corporations or did I miss anything?" Anthony asks when he knows fully well about the whole story.

"Oh that's private and unless are friends, I can't disclose that." Jessica says harshly and in a very cold way.

Raising both his hands, he does the alright as you wish mama" sign.

"Okay mama." Anthony says to Jessica.

"Mama?" Jessica asks as she is caught of guard.

" Yes, that's my nickname for you." Anthony replies.
