"Should I answer it?"
Sitting there in the toilet, with tears in her eyes and Asher holding up her phone, long-forgotten memories of five years ago flooded her mind. This was exactly how the problem started, exactly.
She had no words, her brain logged her out. This wasn't the regular kind of pain that made one numb, this pain was accompanied by a stinging sensation.
She struggled to breathe, not again!
"Calm down Serena, should I answer it" Asher asked again.
All that flooded her mind now was
"why", why did she take this job, why did she agree to come here and be with Alessandro again, why did she leave her peaceful and safe heaven, why? She didn't know what to say to Asher, the more she started into the nothingness of the white bathroom the more the pain choked her.
