Chapter Four: An Unexpected Entry!

"so, what's next?" Serena asked, she was so tired of everything at this point. If it was possible for the earth to pause for a minute.

"We announce our marriage, I don't want my investors to see the video and think I'm irresponsible" As Alessandro paused he noticed Asher's dark sharp eyes staring at him, if he had knives in his eyes Alessandro would be dead.

The sound of Serena's ringtone interrupted the deafening silence in the conference room, it was Sam, Serena's elder brother calling

"please excuse me" Serena picked up the phone and walked towards the elevator

"Sam!" Serena shrieked happily.

Sam was a medical doctor back in Glasgow, and although he was always busy he made time for his big sister, they only had each other.

"oh my God Serena, are you okay? I saw a very disturbing video, what's going on in Las Vegas? " Sam asked in a panic

Serena fought against her tears and gave her brother a rundown of all that had happened since she landed in Las Vegas, and the present contract she just signed

"Marriage!" by the tone of Sam's voice Serena could easily tell that he was stunned, the story was weird but it was true

"Serena dear, if I'm correct Alessandro Nasir is Las Vegas's youngest billionaire, and you're telling me you're getting married to him" Sam's voice was a mixture of astonishment and bewilderment but he still sounded very happy.

"Yes, so I guess I'll be here for a while "

"Ok Serena, I'm shocked to be very honest" Sam's laughter caused Serena to laugh too, even if it was a silent giggle

"I'm happy for you I guess, well I'm about to head to work, I'll text you and please keep me updated, no more surprises please " he begged

"OK Sam, I'm very tired right now, but I'll

call you whenever something else pops up "

"OK dear, be safe"

"bye Sam, thank you"

"bye," and Sam ended the call.

As Serena walked back to the conference room, she met Asher, Alessandro and a man who seemed to be Alessandro's assistant standing in front of the elevator. She joined them and they came down together.

'Ding!"

The elevator got to the ground floor and opened, as the door opened a thousand flashes of camera lights beamed into their eyes.

The paparazzi!

Alessandro swiftly threw his hands over Serena's shoulders blocking her from the camera and protecting her from the crowd.

"Gosh, how did they know we'll be here?" Asher screamed over the crowd.

"Are you both dating?"

"What's your take on the video?"

"is it true that you're no longer a model?"

"Are you pregnant Miss Serena?"

"How long have you been dating her sir?"

The bloggers and paparazzi and two formal local television staff asked one question after another.

"please step back" Alessandro's assistant Marcel yelled, pushing back a young lady who almost scratched Alessandro's face.

After 5 minutes Marcel was able to calm the crowd down and more security men came to the reception to help evacuate the crowd.

"I can't answer all the questions now but we will be married by Sunday morning, now please excuse us" Alessandro announced.

Serena wasn't the only one shocked by this announcement, Asher was shocked too, but nothing much could be done now, Serena already signed the agreement and this was bound to happen anyway, but the speed of everything made Serena sick to her stomach.

She could only feel her legs moving and her shoulder hitting Alessandro's shoulder, within a split second, Alessandro got her into a limousine and they drove away.

As they drove back to Alessandro's house Serena looked intently at Alessandro for the first time, although he was yelling at someone on the phone Serena was stunned by his physique. Damn!.

His shirt was not completely buttoned, his abs and body hair caught her eyes for a minute and then her eyes met his electric blue eyes, his eyes sent jolts of electric waves down to the pit of her stomach, she studied his eyes for a minute, there was a hint of fear and uncertainty but mostly his eyes burned in anger. His brunette hair moved slowly as he shook his head.

Serena didn't notice she was smiling, her smile wasn't big or bright, she just wore a small smile on her lips, and the anger that turned her stomach making her nauseous turned into butterflies.

Alessandro dropped his phone only to see Serena gawking at him. It was her beautiful face he woke up to that morning, the universe was a crazy planner. How he was getting married to the beautiful stranger he woke up to was still too big a piece to easily wrap around.

" I'd rather you tell me what you like" Alessandro threw a flirty smirk at Serena, snapping her out of her daydream

"You wish" Serena folded her arms over her breast and turned her eyes away

"I think we would make a perfect couple"

There was a tricky twinkle in Alessandro's eyes that made Serena's blood run cold.

She was supposed to hate this man, not hate him though, but at least not feel the way she was feeling right now.

The butterflies in Serena's stomach multiplied by two and immediately increased by ten when Alessandro moved over to her and sat right beside her, he moved so close and covered up the space between them.

Alessandro didn't expect to feel this way soon, not after a brutal heartbreak, he felt guilty a bit, but he had to live in this moment, he rubbed his fingers gently on Serena's face, and he turned her red hot cheeks to his face, making their noses touch, they breathed the same air.

Serena's breathing suddenly increased, the pounding of her heart was obvious from the frantic movement of her chest.

She placed her fingers on top of his fingers on her face, the actual plan was to move his fingers away but he raised her chin and they were lost gazing at each other's eyes.

Eyeball to eyeball, nose to nose, heart to heart, this was a moment, their moment, for a second it felt unreal, Serena had Deja vuu, she swallowed and let out a silent grasp.

"We're not drunk this time" Alessandro laughed

"Alessandro" Serena shrieked, she wet her lips, she was about to continue but Alessandro was faster, Alessandro swiftly lifted her and placed her on his thighs, she tried to struggle but she thought to herself, why not bask in the moment.

He didn't break the eye contact but he smiled a little bit, she was facing him directly with her chest pressed against his, she could feel their heartbeat in sync

"Am I safe with you?"

"Yes of course" his breathing increased "I keep your heart safe, and you keep mine safe" He moved his lips across Serena's plush ones, and he slid his tongue into her mouth tasting her like he never tasted anything sweet before he pressed her head towards his face, and pressed a lips on her lips, they had been calling his name.

Serena was as thirsty for the kiss as Alessandro. This time she didn't feel guilty kissing him, this time she wasn't drunk, she was sane, she felt his tongue lock with hers, the pure raw feeling she felt through them scared her to her bones, but she didn't pull away, she couldn't.

Alessandro didn't let her lips go, he pressed his fingers against the back of her head, he didn't want this to end any moment. Serena threw her hands loosely over his shoulders and arched her back deeper, their passion-filled kiss lasted till the driver rudely interrupted

"we're home" Jason announced

Serena pulled away slowly, she looked intently at Alessandro's eyes, they sent shock waves through her body, she moved closer and pecked him on the forehead.

"We're home Serena, our home "

Serena let out a chuckle, the last time she felt like this was a file her memory couldn't recover. She had never felt this way. It sure scared her, but the safety in Alessandro's eyes was too bright to ignore.

"We're crazy" she laughed loudly

"I know right" Alessandro softly mirrored the smile on her face, his smile always shrunk his eyes, "Let me take you in".

Serena stepped into the gigantic living room, she was surprised to see Alessandro's family portrait first. He looked exactly like his dad, there was so much for her to take in, she eagerly moved her head from side to side trying to grasp everything

"Maureen will take you to your room, I have to take this call" Alessandro placed a soft peck on her lips and walked towards the bar, he answered the phone already.

Maureen was the housekeeper, she was fifty-one years old, brown-skinned petite and chubby, she had been working for Alessandro for ten years.

"Please follow me ma'am" Maureen mirrored the soft smile on Serena's lips and walked her up to the room.

Maureen showed her around the room and stepped out of the room, Serena paced around the space for a few minutes, it had been a long day and it was almost morning already. She had a warm bath and crashed on the bed.

Serena woke up not so early the next morning, she still felt tired. Alessandro was nowhere to be found, she slept alone and woke up alone.

Getting out of the bed was hardest part of her morning but she needed a bath and a cup of coffee.

Serena threw her clothes on the bed, went straight into the shower and soaked herself in the flowing hot water.

Alessandro got into the room and heard the sound of the water, he threw his clothes over Serena's clothes and grinned widely as he made his way to the bathroom, he slowly stepped in and pulled Serena by her waist.

Alessandro groaned, he placed his other hand over the wet wall leaning into her neck to taste her soft wet skin.

Serena happily went out for her morning run, she ran faster today, hopefully when she gets back home Alessandro will be awake and she'll share the good news.

Serena entered the big gates and was surprised to see a strange car, Alessandro wasn't expecting anyone, so who could be visiting this early?

She increased her steps and walked closer to the door. Serena was stunned for a minute, her heart rate increased and her eyes swelled with tears, there was no way she was going inside now, she just stood beside the doorpost quietly listening to Alessandro and Capricorn.
