Peter:
"Lynn." I said mostly to myself, but loud enough for her to hear apparently.
She turned when she heard her voice being called and looked at me directly in the eyes. Suddenly it was look the first time I saw her all over again....
FLASHBACK
"Peter, come on lets go!" my best friend Joe yelled out to me as I walked out of my last day of middle school as a 6th grader. Running up to him I asked, "Where we going?"
"Celeste house, her mom said we can all go over for pizza and movies. I already asked my mom and she said she will pick us up later and drop you off at home," he answered smiling.
"Oh awesome!" I responded. I loved Celeste's mom and dad they were super friendly and always invited us over on the weekends to hang out. All of our parents went to the same schools growing up so everyone knew each other forever. Even though I've been to Celeste house a bunch of time I've only met her baby sister Sabrina who was only 8 and she was too young to really talk too and her baby brother Georgie who was a newborn. Celeste had another sister named Lynn but whenever we were there she was never home or she was in her room talking on the phone with her friends. I wasn't really interested in getting to know her, from what Celeste told us Lynn is 11 she is actually coming to middle school with us in August and is super annoying and always with her friends. Not really the type of girl I want to know.
As we begun walking towards the house, Celeste was talking about how her and Lynn's real dad was coming to visit them for a few weeks and wanted us to meet him. There parents split us when Celeste was 1 and Lynn was a new born and about a year and a half later their mom met their stepdad and married him. After they had a few more kids, Celeste says that she still considers her step dad her real dad though. As Celeste continued to talked we were already near her house, thank gosh she lived only 5 mins from our school. I saw her house come into sight and there was this small girl with long brown straight hair walking around the yard talking on the house phone. She was caramel color and had bangs barely covering her big brown eyes. Who was she?
"Ugh, Lynn is in the front yard probably crying over something stupid again." Celeste said answering my unspoken question.
"Thats Lynn?" I chocked out.
"Yeahhhh?" Joe answered looking at me weird "Oh wait you never met her right?"
I shook my head no.
As we got up to the fence Lynn still had not noticed us, she was flapping her little arms around talking to some girl named Nicole on the phone. She was really cute, she looked like Celeste but not really. Celeste had curly hair and was an inch taller and she had a pointed nose. Lynn's face was more round but her nose was like a button. I could not stop staring at her.
"Lynn, get off the phone and unlock the fence, it's locked from the inside!" Shouted Celeste loud enough to get her attention.
"Nicky I gotta so I'll see you at the pool tomorrow. Bye!" Lynn said before hanging up the phone.
"Okay, okay Marie I'm coming calm down." Lynn said using Celeste's middle name. Turning around towards us she began walking to open the gate, it wasn't until she was face to face with us did she lift her eyes from the ground and met mine.
She halted from lifting the lock and just stared at me with those big brown eyes.
"Hey I'm Peter," I said quickly. I was not a shy kid.
Before she could response Celeste interrupted "Lynn hurry up!"
Blinking Lynn finished lifting the locked and moved aside to let us in. Once we were in Celeste and Joe walked ahead hand in hand. Lynn was again looking at the ground and did a quick sigh and turned away from me and started walking up the sidewalk be hide her sister and Joe. Moving fast I caught up to her and grabbed her wrist making her stop. Looking down at my hand and back up at me she ask "What do you think you are doing?"
Instead of answering I had my own question for her "What's your name?" I asked even though I heard Celeste shout it several times.
"Lynn, now let go of my wrist." she answered.
Letting go I had to grin at her smart mouth. I was only 12 and right then I knew I fell hard and fast for Lynn.

Lynn:
It was the first day of summer and I finished elementary school finally. I could not wait to go to parties, the pool, slumber parties and six flags with my friends. This summer was going to be great. I was in the front yard talking to my best friend Nicole since pre-school on the phone. I had to have some sort of privacy because sharing a room with my baby sister Sabrina was not the greatest place for talking on the phone, she was such a little tattle tale. Nicole was in the middle of telling me that David Noriega was going to be at the community pool tomorrow with his friends and wanted to know if I was going to be there. I had the biggest crush on him all through 5th grade but he was dating my friend Gabby Morales at the time.
I was so deep in conversation going over final details with Nicole I didn't realize 3 people standing at the fence. "Lynn, get off the phone and unlock the fence, it's locked from the inside!" Shouted my older sister Celeste.
Ugh she was so annoying, just because she is only 10 months older she thinks she rules the world. Ignoring her I go back to my conversation, "Nicky I gotta so I'll see you at the pool tomorrow. Bye!"
"Okay, okay Marie I'm coming calm down." I was so annoyed with Celeste I was staring down towards the ground biting my lip to avoid screaming at her. As I reached the gate I lifted my eyes and was met with the blackest eyes I've ever seen. I had stopped half way from lifting the lock and stared at the face that held the most amazing eyes.
"Hey I'm Peter," said the boy with eyes. Before I could even tell him my name Celeste interrupted "Lynn hurry up!"
Blinking and regaining a good mind set I lifted the lock and moved aside to let them in. I again became angry with Celeste why was she always yelling at me? Once her and her boyfriend Joe passed me I breathe a sigh of relief and started to follow them up the sidewalk. I was trying to focus on the ground to forget the embarrassment that my sister bestow on me when I felt a hand clasp my wrist. Looking up it was the boy named Peter.
Looking down at his hand and back at his dazzling eyes I asked "What do you think you are doing?"
Instead of answering me he asked "What's your name?"
"Lynn, now let go of my wrist." I snapped.
As he let go I saw that he the most amazing grin. I was only 11 and right then I knew I fell hard and fast for Peter.
