On a talent level I was so pleased for her but now she was a fully-fledged pop star I guess my chances of ever going out with her were now zero so this result was tinged with some sort of sadness for me personally. She was kind enough to invite me to the TV studios to watch her performance of what was to be her number one hit ‘Dead Man’s Curve.’ The TV presenter introduces Nikki, “OK folks, this week’s number one in the UK is Nikki North with ‘Dead Man’s Curve.’ Nikki and her band are performing ‘Dead Man’s Curve.’ Halfway through she turns to the band and says, “To hell with this s**t. OK guys, let’s do the new number!” She counts, 1,2,3,4 on her hand and turns back to the camer
