Chapter 5: The Beautiful Ya Xin
Wang Ming’s mind was a mess of worries as he slumped back into his seat. He thought about it for a long time but couldn’t come to any conclusion. There were just too many things in this world that didn’t make sense!
Should he make the first move? It was almost guaranteed to end in failure, but if he didn’t try, he’d be stuck watching some other guy wrap his arms around the girl he admired. Wang Ming hated the thought of seeing her in someone else’s embrace.
He couldn’t approach her, but he couldn’t give up either. His thoughts spun in circles until the bell finally rang, snapping him out of his daze.
Click… click… click…
The bell echoed through the room, and silence fell immediately. Footsteps hurried down the hallway, stopping right outside the classroom door. After a brief pause, the door swung open, and Teacher Huang stepped in confidently.
She walked straight to the podium, set down her lesson plan, and clapped her hands with a bright smile. Capturing the students’ attention, she announced, “Class, our final student has just arrived. Let’s give her a warm welcome with a round of applause!”
The moment Teacher Huang finished, enthusiastic applause erupted. She waved her hand, and the door opened again—there she was.
Gasp!
Every student, Wang Ming included, gasped in awe. No doubt about it—that was the girl he’d seen in the restroom just moments ago!
The memory came rushing back—the wind lifting her skirt, revealing those smooth, snow-white legs. The flash of her delicate curves and the few mischievous strands of hair peeking out from her shorts... It was enough to make any guy lose his mind!
Ugh!
Suddenly, Wang Ming slapped his hand over his nose and jerked his head back, repeatedly smacking his forehead, terrified his nose might start bleeding again.
Smack! Smack! Smack...
In the dead silence, the sound of Wang Ming slapping his forehead echoed clearly. For a moment, every student turned to look at him—including the girl standing at the door.
Yikes!
Seeing him frantically cover his nose, tilt his head back, and slap himself, Liu Yaxin gasped. She recognized him instantly—it was the same guy she’d spotted in the restroom, frozen with blood streaming down his face.
A mix of embarrassment, delight, and anger stirred inside her. Embarrassed because he’d almost seen everything. Though she wasn’t fully exposed, he’d definitely gotten a good look at her thighs—and that was enough to make her blush.
Delighted because it was clear her beauty had an effect—she’d never seen anyone react like that before. She’d always known she was pretty, but this was the first time a guy had actually started bleeding from his nose just from looking at her!
And anger... well, that was a young girl’s righteous fury. This guy had to be thinking dirty thoughts. What a perverted creep!
While Liu Yaxin fumed silently, Wang Ming finally sighed in relief. He didn’t know if it was because he’d bled out completely or his resistance had kicked in, but this time, no blood flowed. If it had, he would’ve lost all his dignity.
Seeing Wang Ming calm down, Teacher Huang smiled and turned to Liu Yaxin. “Now, why don’t you introduce yourself to the class?”
Oh!
Liu Yaxin glanced nervously at Wang Ming. To her surprise, their eyes locked—his gaze had been fixed on her the whole time. Her face flushed crimson, and she shyly walked to the podium.
What makes a girl truly beautiful?
That’s right—she’s most beautiful when she’s shy. Wang Ming’s intense gaze made her feel self-conscious, but standing at the podium, she smiled softly and said, “Hello, everyone. I’m Liu Yaxin. I’m happy to meet you all.”
Beauty always steals the spotlight. No sooner had she finished speaking than the class erupted into applause, lasting longer than expected. The power of beauty was undeniable!
“Alright, alright…” Liu Yaxin raised her hands, calling for quiet. When the class settled down, Teacher Huang said, “Liu Yaxin, please choose a seat.”
Nodding, Liu Yaxin quickly walked to a seat in the third row and sat down, smiling as she greeted the girl next to her.
But even as she settled, she couldn’t shake the feeling of burning eyes on her back.
Clenching her fists, she tried to ignore it, but the gaze was so intense a thin sweat broke out on her skin. She couldn’t take it anymore.
Pretending to be casual, she sneaked a look over her shoulder. Their eyes met again—directly.
Oh my God!
Startled, she quickly turned forward and instinctively clutched her chest. Her heart pounded wildly. Those eyes were so familiar—clear, bright, hauntingly familiar.
On the other side, Wang Ming was just as confused. There was something about this girl that felt deeply familiar, like they’d known each other forever. But the truth was, he’d never met anyone as beautiful as her before. And the name Liu Yaxin was completely new to him.
The afternoon passed in a blur as they both lost themselves in thought. It wasn’t until the bell rang that they snapped out of it at the same time.
As the teacher left, students hurried to the door. Wang Ming glanced out the window, then stole a look at Liu Yaxin in front of him.
Under his gaze, she gathered her books, stretched lazily, and let out a seductive yawn. Her curves became even more apparent, radiating youthful, undeniable allure.
Mesmerized, Wang Ming found himself lost for a moment. Only one thought filled his mind: If he could have her for just one night, he’d trade ten years of his life.
Just then, Liu Yaxin froze. She felt that scorching gaze burn hotter than ever.
Dropping her arms, she grabbed her bag and hurried out of the classroom. She didn’t understand—why was his stare so intense?
Watching her go, Wang Ming smiled softly. Rising from his seat, he quietly followed her toward the school gates. As he watched her walk ahead, a warm, gentle feeling swelled in his chest.
Was it love?
No... Wang Ming knew it wasn’t love—not yet. It was just attraction, or maybe chemistry between two people. Love didn’t come that easily. If it was only about her looks and body, then it wasn’t love—not yet.
