"Bye Mama! Bye Papa!" Blythe waved at them on the window carriage as it floated and moved from the dark place of the underworld.
The king and queen gave her a sorrowful smile but Blythe was very much excited. She hasn't seen daylight in over 10 years of her life in the new world. Not that she complained about it. Her memories of the world above their kingdom was full of happiness and beauty that it made her so excited to go to the Academy without even thinking about the downfall.
An hour later they arrived in the above world where the grass was green and the birds chirped. The country of Avansur is, indeed, one of the most biggest and most beautiful continent in the world. Not only is it's scenarios beautiful, but the people of this land has worked hard to improve the economic status of each city. Some might even say, that the war ended in order for the continent to achieve total improvement on their way of living by exchanging knowledge with the demons.
The carriage continued to move as the beautiful meadows reminded Blythe of her past life when she and her parents were still a happy family. It makes her wonder a lot.
How are they? I hope they're doing fine. Do they miss me? Have they shed tears for me? But then.. no one really cared for me in that life.
She slapped both her cheeks to get rid of her thoughts.
No! This is a new life, Blythe! Remember what you came here for. Friends.
Blythe was so well protected by the king and queen that she has only met very few people. Specifically only 27 including her instructors and her attendants so she barely made any friends during her time in the underworld. She is quite hopeful she'll meet a lot of people in this Academy.
"Princess, we're here."
After a long journey, they arrived at the Academy where a short old man in robes stood as if he waited for them for a long period of time.
"Welcome! Welcome!" he said excitedly.
Blythe put on her hood as she followed the old man without even knowing who he is.
"Wow. this place is amazing." she said amazed at the gigantic hallways they passed through. The old man stopped walking making Blythe stop too. Worried that she said something inappropriate, Blythe peaked at the old man and saw him.. grinning?
"HAHAHAHA OF COURSE DEAR CHILD. WHY, THIS PLACE IS A REPRESENTATION OF PERFECTION. DIVINE. GRACE. NOT ONLY ARE THE WALLS CERAMIC, THE TILES, THE DOORS, THE CEILING! AND THIS AND THIS AND THIS, TOO! ALL OF THEM ARE CERAMIC. BECAUSE THIS WORLD IS NOT AS BEAUTIFUL WITHOUT CERAMIC PAINTED ALL OVER IT! NOW TELL ME CHILD, IS THERE A PLACE IN THIS WORLD AS BEAUTIFUL AS THIS CERAMIC PALACE OF MINE!? HAHAHAHAHHA"
Blythe pretentiously smiled, still confused as to what just happened to the formal old man she met a few minutes ago.
"Oh, stop blabbering old man." A tall woman with short hair and daring eyes smacked the old man's head.
"Forgive this old geezer. You must be the transfer student! I've been dying to meet you. I'm Sevee, your class adviser and this head over heels for ceramic man over here is the school principal, principal Aiwell."
"Pleased to meet the most outstanding student of this school." the old man reached out his hand to Blythe.
"It's my pleasure." she replied while reaching out her hand.
Most outstanding?
Blythe just shrugged off what the principal said thinking he might have confused her for somebody else.
"Dear, why don't you take off the hood. Don't you feel hot in those robes?" Miss Sevee asked.
"Um, sorry, but it's tradition in our lands to not remove our hoods until we have settled!" she said while remembering what her parents said.
"Blythe, they don't know you're from the underworld, okay? So, make sure you don't show them your horns or they might ban you. Or worse.. they might burn you alive!"
"Well, if it's your tradition. Then shall we proceed to your class?" Miss Sevee asked.
ding ding ding ding
"Paging principal Aiwell, please proceed to the stockroom. Paging principal Aiwell, please proceed to the stockroom."
ding ding ding ding
"That must be the ceramic pots and ceramic frames I ordered! You guys go on, I need to go there before Crisella starts smashing my poor babies! Toodoloo!"
The principal rushed to the stockroom leaving Blythe and MIss Sevee.
"Shall we?" Miss Sevee said.
Blythe responded with a nod as they headed towards the classroom.
Class S
the sign wrote.
" Wait here until I call you, okay? "
"okay."
Okay. You can do this. Just don't act weird and don't stand out. Make lots of friends.
Miss Sevee went in and settled the class down. Blythe was frantic and nervous. This time, she is hopeful that this class won't be like the one she had in her past life.
"Settle down, class. Today, we have a new student with us. Without further adieu, Miss Blythe Ainsley."
Here we go.
"My name is Blythe Ainsley. I hope to get along with everyone." she spoke nervously. Nobody flinched and just stared blankly at her like Blythe's presence is not important.
Maybe my introduction was too plain. Does that mean I messed up?? But it's my first day! Calm down. Calm down. We still have a chance. Judging by the classroom set up, my seatmate is either that cute girl, that guy in glasses, the guy spacing out, and that girl in pigtails. I prefer to be seated with girls please since I'm not really good with befriending boys.
"Blythe, you can sit beside Taka over there." Miss Sevee pointing at the guy spacing out.
DAMN IT.
"What!? For real!?" one of the girls said.
"Did I stutter, Miss Lily? Blythe go sit. Taka, stop spacing out."
"huh...?"
Taka looked at Blythe as she sat next to him.
"Today, I won't be having any lessons since I'll be having a meeting. So, can I ask you to please put your complete name in a piece of paper and write the special skill you guys have been training your whole life then pass it in my table as you leave." Miss Sevee instructed.
The students started writing while Blythe was still looking around.
Where did they get that paper and pen without a bag? I didn't bring any things with me because I thought I didn't have to.
Blythe was never taught any school related spells by her masters since what they usually do is boost Blythe's abilities and cognition in the field without using fry spells. This allowed them to focus on Blythe's growth because low leveled spells often use quite a bit of mana.
Blythe looked at the guy beside her and thought about asking him if she can borrow a pen and ask for a piece of paper.
"Exc-"
Then it struck her.
Intelligent Blythe: COUNCIL MEETING! COUNCIL MEETING!
Lazy Blythe: Just ask a piece of paper and a pen. It won't *yawn* hurt.
Enthusiastic Blythe: Oh come now! It's always a pleasure to meet everyone again!
Shy Blythe: I-I don't like this.
Intelligent Blythe: We have to think about our next move ladies. If we ask for a paper and pen, then "IT" may happen again.
*every Blythe shocked*
Enthusiastic Blythe: You don't mean.. it?
Intelligent Blythe: yes. it.
Shy Blythe: Y-you mean that time with Master T-
Enthusiastic Blythe: SHUSH. WE DON'T SPEAK OF THAT TIME.
Intelligent Blythe: We need to properly execute the manner of how we ask for a paper and pen before acting so it will not happen again.
Lazy Blythe: But how?
Intelligent Blythe: Hmm
Enthusiastic Blythe: Hmmmmm
Shy Blythe: H-Hmm
Lazy Blythe: *yawn*
???? Blythe: *sinister laugh* you fools!
Intelligent Blythe: It can't be-
Enthusiastic Blythe: Maturity Blythe!! I missed youuuuu~
Maturity Blythe: Save the reunion for later ladies. Right now, I might just have a solution.
Every Blythe shocked at the Maturity Blythe.
Maturity Blythe: The environment has changed ladies. And you know what that means?
...
Maturity Blythe: Remember how we always get what we want when we ask Papa for something?
Intelligent, Shy, Enthusiastic, Lazy Blythe: You mean-
Maturity: EXACTLY, MY DEARS. If we can perfect it, we will flawlessly get a pen and a paper from this young lad.
Intelligent Blythe: I never thought of this. It could work. Let's do it!
Enthusiastic Blythe: LET'S! tehee~
Shy Blythe: Y-Yeah
Lazy Blythe: *yawns* hmkay
Maturity Blythe: Then it's settled. To a victorious pen and paper!
Blythe clenched her fist and poked Taka.
"Huh?" Taka looked at Blythe as she inhaled and exhaled.
"C-Can I please borrow a pen and ask for a paper?" she said with her eyes wide open and her cheeks puff acting cute in front of Taka.
...
Taka laughed out loud as the students looked at them.
"Mister Bloodworth!" Miss Sevee called.
"Don't yell at him, Ma'am! I beg of you!" one of the girls stood up.
"I did not ask you to speak out, Miss Conner. Or would you rather stand your ground and stay outside in the heat?" Miss Sevee threatened making the girl sit down in embarrassment.
"S-sorry, Miss." he apologized as everyone went back to what they were doing.
"If you needed it so badly, just perform the school material summoning." he said still giggling.
Blythe completely embarrassed could not move after he laughed at her that she completely froze.
"Here." Taka performed the summoning for her then gave her the pen and paper.
"T-thank you." She started writing very fast and hurriedly passed it in front. She rushed to the door and headed to her room.
"Hey, hold on!" Taka called her but she didn't stop walking.
"Taka! Over here!" A bunch of girls pulled him to the side.
"You wanna go shopping together?" a girl suggested.
The girls kept hovering over him making him lose sight of Blythe.
Blythe, on the other hand, has arrived in her room with her things already settled. She looked at the mirror then went completely red.
S-so embarrassing. My brain has betrayed me.
She sighed and shook it off. She looked again in the mirror and noticed her horns were standing out so she fixed her hair that her tiny horns may be covered.
"That should do it." she spoke to herself but then completely lost herself again in thought.
Just don't speak to him again. Then maybe we don't have to deal that embarrassment again.
Blythe's powers may have grown to a very high extent but her maturity towards the real world is still oblivious. Realizing this, the council of Blythe has nulled Maturity's opinions from then on.
Meanwhile, a meeting is held inside the Academy with all the professors.
"This is absurb, principal! A demon? Among our students? THIS IS A BIG JOKE!" Professor Chrome rebeled.
"Silence, Chrome. How dare you raise your voice towards the principal?" Miss Crisella defended.
"The war is over, Chrome. The world is changing, we too must change for the better of this Academy. The child has passed our entrance exams with very high marks."
"Does the students know about this? What will happen if they find out? What will happen to the school?!" Chrome fought.
"The students don't have to know. I have spoken with the king and queen of the underworld and they have instructed princess Blythe to hide her identity til she graduates." Crisella explained.
"This may be our chance at molding the world into complete peace. We all know some lands still complain about the treaty. When the princess graduates, we will prove to the world that demons and humans can coexist." the principal added.
"Not only that, but this girl has outstanding talent. Her stats level up to that of our senior students. The only thing standing between her and absolute power is her not knowing she possesses the potential of absolute peace or absolute destruction. And because of that, we must try to mold her that she may not stray to the road of destruction." Miss Sevee said.
"What makes you so sure she is that pwerful?" Chrome questioned.
Miss Sevee put down Blythe's paper and everyone in the meeting was shocked.
"Foresee has been an ancient skill that have skipped thousands of generation. It was rumored that the last person with the skill of foresee destroyed an entire country." Miss Sevee said.
"Our neighboring country. The country of Esberg." shocked, Miss Crisella said.
"Yes. As of today, that country is still in the midst of rebuilding itself even after three thousand years from the destruction. Now, tell me Professor Chrome. If that child strays and fuels mass destruction, will there still be a school to protect?" Miss Sevee said.
Chrome grind his teeth, accepting the facts that was placed on the table.
The meeting ended and the days to come will be one that the Academy will never forget.
