Author’s POV
Adrian was a mess, sitting in his library as his thoughts were clouded with his minimum probability of winning Silver’s trust. He knew it was unlikely she was ever going to forgive him or trust him again, but he clearly didn't mind. He was ready and willing to keep trying. When there's life, there's hope, they say. He was determined to win her back; a part of him already knew that Silver loved him and wasn't going to easily throw everything they had under the bus, especially not when she was carrying his child.
Unbeknownst to him, Silver has already made up her mind and will soon put her plans into motion. Plans of leaving him, that is.
