My heart stopped in my chest when Fiona asked how long Ivy had been bound. Bound? She's not human? How did I not pick up on that?
When we dropped Fiona and her pup off at the cottage I made sure Ivy stayed in the car so I could ask Fiona about it. When she confirmed my thoughts, I told her to leave my team to set everything up and come to my house in 45 minutes. We didn't have a choice but to tell Ivy and Fiona what we are now, but I wanted to give Ivy a few minutes to see the house and soak it in before we ultimately turned her world upside down.
"Is something wrong?" Ivy asks, Chloe clinging to her with the same nervous energy. My chest is tight knowing she could react poorly and break my heart right now.
