I waited beside the door for a while in indecision. I had no idea what to do next, and looking at him sitting in the room, I did not think it would be a good idea to talk to him about my request now.
'I'll wait until a better time,' I thought as I left the place. He had already begun to incline towards where I was. Most likely, he had a feeling that I was still at the door and would soon call me out for it. I was not ready for a confrontation with him in any way.
Getting to my room, I fell asleep instantly. All the tiredness I felt before washed over me and put me dormant until another two hours had passed. I woke up feeling hungry and somewhat depressed.
