Hearing her cell phone ring in the middle of packing Melissa runs to check her phone. Seeing it is Nathan she answers the phone trying to sound composed but losing her composure.
“H-H-Hello.” Melissa answers through her tears.
“Melissa, what happened?! I was calling to see if we were still on for tonight, but there is something much bigger going on now. Should I come over?” Nathan questioned.
Not wanting to be a bother trying to dry her tears and fix her voice Melissa says “No, I’ll be okay. Where did you want me to meet you at tonight?”
“You are not okay Melissa, please let me come over and help. After everything you have been through the last week you need someone to talk to. We can cancel our date if necessary. Really it’s okay just let me be the friend you need right now.” Nathan
