Confrontations And Confessions

"Bella! Bella! Isabella Sterling!" Sebastian yelled. "What is it, Sebastian? We are at work," Bella, who was already heading to Alexander's office to apologize for the message she sent out of anger, snapped. "I know, Bella, I just wanted to know why you left the car and didn't say a word after we viewed the link Catherine sent," Sebastian said. He was deeply concerned, and somehow Bella felt bad. She walked up to him and straightened his collar. "You did nothing wrong, but I wouldn't want to be seen running around with you while your brother is in such a position." "But that has nothing to do with me, Bella." He removed a bit of hair from Bella's face. "I know, Sebastian, but..." "But what?" "Nothing, I just didn't want to draw attention to myself." "No one is watching you, Bella." "Now yes, but not when I'm dating one of the Almighty Gentrys," Bella made clear. "You know what, Bella, let's talk later, okay?" Bella just nodded and turned. She wasn't sure there was going to be a later; she was going to meet Alexander and it was already 9:00 am, 3 hours after the time he had given her. She knocked on the door of Alexander's office twice and got no reply, and when she wanted to knock the third time, she heard his voice, "Come in," in a deep, scary voice that sent shivers down her spine. "Oh my God!" She gasped as she couldn't behold his looks. His hair was messy, and his eyes were dull, covered with purple eye bags. "What do you want?" He said, fixing his eyes on her. "Emm... You asked that I see you yesterday." Bella answered. He stood up and began rolling his sleeves, she couldn't help but watch his amazing biceps. "Yes, go and meet Christopher; he will fill you in." He spoke slowly, unlike him. "Any other--" "Leave my office." He ordered. "Rude." She muttered to herself as she turned to leave. "And do well to check your email," he finally said before she closed the door behind her. As she was heading to her office, she quickly checked her mail. "That son of a b***h," she cursed under her breath after reading the mail. He had sent her an email telling her that he removed 10% of her salary for the week for not attending work on time and for not meeting him when he asked her to. She quickly entered her office to tell her colleagues what Alexander had done to her, "You guys won't be--" "Shhhhh, listen," Catherine interrupted her. She quickly went to her desk and watched the screen. Her hand flew to her mouth in a reflexive gesture of shock and surprise as she watched Bailey Reginald, Alexander's fiancée, saying that she cheated on him because he had erectile dysfunction. "No way!" They all screamed in unison. "This can't be true," Daniel said. "How can this handsome man have such issues?" Catherine questioned. "I can't believe you are buying this story, Catherine," Christopher said. "Well, what do you think, Bella?" Catherine asked. "I don't actually care; besides, he deserves it. He deserves whatever he's getting," Bella answered. She truly hated him. "No Bella, don't say that," Catherine said. "Well, his problem is not mine, and I don't give a damn," Bella still refused to empathize. "Then why does he want to marry?" Daniel asked. "Maybe they've already discussed it, who knows," Catherine answered. "Poor Bailey," Daniel added. "Poor Alexander; he won't be enjoying what his mates are enjoying," Christopher said. "Do you know if it can be--" Catherine was about to say... "Enough, you guys!" Bella finally spoke, "This is not our problem; we have a project to work on, so please let's get back to it. The more we waste time discussing irrelevant things, we can use it and develop this software in no time." "Yes, boss!" They all answered. It hadn't been long since they had kept quiet and had headed back to work when Sebastian immediately came into the office. "Sorry for intruding, please Catherine, you're needed in our office," Sebastian asked. Catherine simply nodded and quickly packed her bag and stood to follow him. "Why are you packing your bag?" Daniel asked. "No, it's nothing; she loves carrying her bag," Sebastian. That was weird; why would Sebastian cover for Catherine? Yes, they were hiding something, but they all trusted Sebastian. "Weird..." Daniel said and continued working on his system. "Before I forget, Bella, have you talked to Daina and know why she resigned?" Christopher asked. "I have not actually; maybe I'll go today after work. Let's pray CEO Alexander would let me leave early," Bella replied. While they were busy in the software development department, Catherine and Sebastian were in a steamy session in the restroom. "You look absolutely gorgeous today," Sebastian complimented. "Stop flattering me; I always do," Catherine answered. Her tone was emotionless, which indirectly told Sebastian that she was angry with him. "I know you're still angry with me for fixing a date with Bella." "Who wouldn't get angry? How can you say you love me and at the same time be dating someone else?" "No, don't say that Catherine; we didn't actually go for dinner yesterday again. I couldn't go. I love you more." "But why can't we go public? Why do we have to be making out here in the restroom and not in the most expensive hotel, not like you can't afford it." "Just give me time. I want to clear all the paths for you so that when I'm ready, we go public, and I won't face detesting from my parents." "But you publicly asked Bella out." "It's just pretense; my father likes Bella, and when he discovers I'm dating her, which is fake, he would let me breathe." "Let's just see later; I'm not in the mood to have this conversation with you. Besides, you acted pretty strangely when you called me out," Catherine said, and they both held hands and began to head to Sebastian's office. "And what are the two of you doing together?" Alexander questioned. "Nothing; we were just--" "Heading from the restroom together," Alexander interrupted. "Well, this is the least of my problems; I have more problems to settle."
