I will never consider doubting her in my life time. My wolf was not lying when she said she could get us up the mountain, this cave looked higher when we was on the ground. maybe tomorrow would be a good day and we will be able to go find the village our mate lives in. " Amara have you considered the possibility that maybe our mate was not really there during the hunt?" What do you mean? "It's just that if there is a possibility they was never there and maybe we just picked up a scent that was sweet. Maybe we just left to pursue the scent but it was just a flower or something "

No I do not think it was a flower or anything else. I know it was our mate. Think about it we never have smelt anything that sweet before we would have remembered if we had. listen we know most scent surrounding the palace and even within the forest. I knew there was small chance that she could possibly be right but I refuse to accept that possibility.

We have already left everything we know behind, we can not waste this chance to find our mate and finally have a chance at being happy. "Amara, do you think we will finally be happy?" my turn to question you missy. You have asked some deep questions and this is not like you at all. Why are you suddenly doubting everything? Do you really doubt our mate? If you have serious doubts then maybe we should return. " I just do not want us to have left home for something we are not prepared for if things turn out for the worst. I am a realistic wolf and we can not just think everything will end with rainbows and cupcakes."

personally I do not think everything ends in rainbows and cupcakes, after all I am the one who had to deal with father all of our lives. I never had anything good to look forward to or anything to be excited for. I just believe we should be optimistic and open minded. "Okay princess, what does your optimistic self think about sleep?"

As if on cue I let out a big yawn, sleep sounds amazing right now and our paws really do hurt after all the running and walking. A strong gust of wind made its way through the cave. It is going to be one long cold night. we do not have a blanket, maybe we should make the fire bigger so it will last longer.

"you should sleep in wolf form" why wolf form? "its cold tonight and the fire might go out with how strong the wind is tonight. Plus our fur is thick and warm, if we turn back to human form we might not make it through the night." Yeh you are right. I wonder what Derek and Victoria is doing. Planning for their babies arrival.

They are going to be amazing parents, I would have preferred it if they was my parents. Victoria is beautiful, kind and caring and Derek is just my bestfriend and protects me as a father should. Their child will have a happy life. They are open and honest, they have no secrets they share everything with each other. Not even a lie has been said between them.

Unlike those two my parents have secrets and lies, me parents do not even sleep in the same bed chambers . For instance my mother started drinking six months after I was born. My mother would be drunk so the staff would have to take her to her chambers. I remember when I was five I watched the staff bring up my mom who was crying. She did not seem herself, she was mumbling something I was unsure of what she was saying till she started saying it out loud over and over again.

Just non stop begging for a different life, for a different daughter. just calling me a disgrace to her side of the family. I spent the entire night crying underneath my bed all night. By the morning Derek found me, that was the first time Derek crawled under my bed to cheer me up. My brother and I made under my bed to be our secret world. But even then what she said plagued my mind for years.

My father on the other hand he had a mistress who worked in the palace, she was the woman who fed me when I was a baby. My father always was around when she was feeding me, he would be sure to be involved n stay around. When I was five after the incident with my mother I sheltered my self to my brother only, he was the only one I would eat for. Turns out he was the only one who could get me to do anything.

But the maid decided she would try when she knew my father was going o be down early for breakfast, we was all going to be leaving to go to a festival that night, we would have to leave early because it was the two villages away and was far. Dads main job was to light up the fire pit for everyone.

She would make sure her skirt was short enough and she would cake her face in make up and put on loads of perfume. She and father started having an affaire when mother started drinking, I only came to notice when I snuck out of my room at three in the morning, I was seven when saw her walking out of my fathers room in my fathers shirt. My father followed after and was following close behind her.

little did father know is when she claimed to be pregnant with his child it was not his. She was sleeping with the gardener Joel during his breaks. It turned out they was married he got her the job to work in the palace. They got divorced after Joel took full custody of his child and continued working at the palace. His son Jack used to help him do the gardening when he would come home.

Jack would play with Derek and I when we was little, he grew and decided to attend music lessons. When he was away attending his lessons it would be boring n quiet. He has his first music concert in three weeks. He plays the harp, He would make the palace full of music during the weekends.

wow my family is messed up. "Amara just think Jack could have actually been your brother"
