After a long walk backI could finally see the palace. Everyone was on the balcony eating from what I could smell. I have always loved the palace gardens, it has a vast variety of flowers. When I was younger mother would take me to the gardens, she would just sit there and watch me try and catch butterflies. When I would get tired we would sit and eat, after we ate I would make flower crowns out of the daisies. Mother would wear it for days.

With my wolf abilities the flowers smell is more enhanced and  more defined, they smell amazing as they used to. We got closer to the palace and my mother was the first one to stand up. Once she noticed me, Derek stood and assisted his mate. I could feel that they were all happy. 

Once I reached the balcony next to the pool I stood still for a moment waiting for them to either say something or yell at me. “My little girl” my mother pounced on me, she pulled me into a tight embrace “Honey I’m so proud of you, you actually transformed” she sounded proud and by the sound of her heart rate she was really happy. “Thank you mother” hearing her heartbeat made me happier than I was before. 

“Hey sis” I looked over at Derek who was walking towards me with his mate. Mother pulled me from her warm embrace, she wiped some tears out of her eyes. Melody waddled over to my mother with a handkerchief, Derek pulled me in for a tighter hug than mother “Derek….can’t…..breath” he pulled away “You are awesome sis, you handled your transformation better than any first timer” he pet my head with a big smile.

“Yes, you did well” we all looked at father after he spoke, my smile turned into a frown when I saw him. “Father I did not expect to see and at most get complimented by you as though you always thought I was good for nothing and a weakling” I crossed my arms “Amara I am your father you will treat me as such and respect me as such” I could tell he was aggravated. I began to walk away not wanting to hear what next, when I reached the door I turned around looking father deep in the eyes “You have only just started to compliment me so you want respect then earn it” he was furious but I wanted to show him I will not be taken lightly. Show him who you are, you will not be bossed around. You will be respected, you are an alpha. She’s right I am an alpha so to make sure he knows I am no longer a pushover I cursed “Your majesty” I had a large smirk on my face as I started to walk away.

There was a faint knock at my bedroom door “Enter” I was not in any mood for my father to walk in right now. I looked over at my door as it opened “Melody, please sit down” Melody has been the only person i could talk to without judgement. “So, earlier was crazy.” We chuckled at this remark “Melody, may I ask you a question?” she looked at me concerned “what's up?” If I am honest this is hard to talk about. 

“How did you know Derek was your mate?” she froze, she had every right to this would not be my typical question to her. “I just knew the moment I saw him we just connected. I just felt like I had to be with him every second and did not want to lose him. Why? Did something happen?”

I did not know how to explain what happened during the hunt but the feelings she described I felt for a brief moment. “When I was on the hunt I know I blacked out but for a small moment I felt something like I was not alone and someone was always gonna protect me. It was warm and fuzzy.” She had a huge smile for some reason. “What?” I questioned “They were there” now I was confused. “Who?” she looked at my like I was clueless “Your mate”
