The phonecall was unexpected. Sam and Tom were in the office chatting while Sam looked through some documents for the business. He was lucky enough to have good management in place which meant he didn't need to worry about things on a day-to-day basis. It would have interfered with his far more important work, but he was still the boss and the figurehead of the family firm and there was no way he could ignore things altogether. His first thought was that the call was from the office, but hearing Mark's voice on the end of the line he was instantly on alert.
