Chapter 5: Cruel love

He slammed the door behind him so hard the walls seemed to vibrate, making a sharp sound through the empty hallway. He threw his clothes in the laundry. He stood in the middle of the room. The video replaying in his mind like the pause button is nowhere to be found. The way she moved her body, the way the man scanned her whole body with his eyes under that mask, her side moans, exposing red lingerie. His hands curled into fist beside him. “Damn it” he cursed as he tried to think about something else. “That was supposed to be me doing that to her” he was once the quick to anger type, he built his calm self for years, now that discipline is slipping away. “Why does the one I love always betray me?” he laughed bitterly. “If everyone was gonna betray me, she shouldn't be among them.” Another memory flashed in his mind. Jane, his ex girlfriend. She left him for Dante, the arms dealer who shot him right in front of her. He didn't forget the way she smiled when the bullet hit his lower torso. “That one almost made me meet my creator, this one is cheating right under my nose” his thoughts are going deeper and harder to get rid of. “Maybe I'm for the boys,” he laughed to himself as he walked to the table. Sebastian’s hand swept violently across the table. Papers, files, and arranged paperwork scattered across the floor with a sharp crash. He turned to his back and punched the hard wall, making a crack sound echo through the quiet room. “Damnit” he growled and rested his back on the wall, his eyes looking directly at the ceiling. The anger he is feeling is nothing compared to the pain. He watched as blood slowly moved down his hands. He rested his head against the cold wall. The scent of blood mixed with the expensive scent. After a few minutes of zoning out , he pushed himself away from the wall, walked to the bed and grabbed his phone. He opened the contact app and dialed a familiar number. The call was picked up on the second ring. “Yo, what's up?” the voice on the other end said casually. Sebastian’s voice was low, controlled but the tension beneath it was obvious. “Ray. I need you to find someone for me.” There was a brief pause before Ray chuckled lightly. “Sounds important.” “It is.” “Alright,” Ray replied. “We meet at the bar by eight” “Okay, don't be late,” Sebastian replied. “See yah.” Ray ended the call. Sebastian walked to the bathroom and had a cold bath, the cold water was supposed to shock him but it didn't. His body temperature is now high and he needs something cold to cool down. He stood under the running water. “I don't know him” her voice came up in his mind again. “That's bullshit,” he said. The cold water ran through his dark hair, down his face, down his shoulder. He closed his eyes, leaning one hand against the tiled wall as the water streamed down his body like pearls. “Liar” Every one of her denying words still echoes in his mind. “How dare she lie right in front of evidence, she's unbelievable” he scoffed. He stopped the running shower and stepped out of the bathroom into the closet. The cool air of the room hit his damp body. He cleaned up, did his skincare and pulled in a white sweatshirt and a green jogger with a pair of black sneakers and walked out of the room. The house was silent. His eyes scanned the living room looking for her. There's no sign of her. “Good, I don't want her ruining my mood again” He stepped outside where two guards immediately straightened. “Sir.” He is back to his cold calm self. “My wife is not allowed to leave the house or receive visitors without my permission first” The guards exchanged quick glances before nodding. “Yes, sir.” “Relay the message to the others.” “Understood.” Sebastian turned and headed to the parking lot. Rowan, his personal assistant, quickly stepped to his side and followed him. “Let's take the Audi,” he said as he tossed the key to Rowan. “To the bar, sir?” Rowan replied catching the car key Sebastian entered and sat in the back seat. “Yes,” he replied as he shut the car door softly. The car pulled onto the road, headlights cutting through the growing darkness. Sebastian leaned back in his seat and picked up his phone again. He dialed a number. The line connected after a few rings. “Hello, sir,” Maggie’s gentle voice answered. “I want my things moved to the empty room,” Sebastian said. There was a moment of hesitation. “The guest room, sir?” Maggie asked “Yes.” “Before you return?” Maggie inquired again “Make sure it's done before I get back.” “Okay, sir.” The call ended. Rowan glanced at Sebastian from the rear view mirror. He noticed that he is back to his usual self. “Boss,” he called. Sebastian looked up. “Is everything alright, sir?” Rowan asked carefully. Sebastian looked at Rowan through the mirror, then he smiled. It wasn't his usual warm smile, Rowan can see through his fake smile. “Focus on driving Rowan, don't worry about me.” Sebastian replied. Rowan nodded “okay sir.” Rowan put on a radio to keep the drive a little lively. The rest of the ride passed without any conversation between them. After a few minutes of driving, Rowan pulled the car over at the bar parking spot and got down, Sebastian got down too. The bar logo shines in the dark sky, low music can be heard from the building. The place and the surrounding has started buzzing with low chatter and clinging of glasses. As they moved closer to the bar the mixture of liquor and cologne filled the air. The bar night services are yet to start so Sebastian walked in through the front door as there were less crowds. A guard quickly approached Sebastian and led him to the VIP section. Rowan followed quietly behind him. “Rowan” Sebastian called, turning to face him. “Yes, sir?” “You’re free to go wherever you want. I’ll take a cab when I'm going back” Rowan nodded. “Understood, sir.” Sebastian opened the VIP room door, looked around the room, faced the guards and placed his order. “I will go get them,” the man said as he closed the door behind him. Sebastian walked slowly to the leather chair and sat down looking at space, while his fingers were entwined. “I will find you mother fucker” he thought. A man opening the door room got his attention back, the man came in with his order and set them on the table. “You are so dead,” he thought aloud. “Sir?” The man looked at him frightened. Sebastian realizes that he has scared the poor man with his loud thoughts. “Ohh, it's nothing, you can go” The man walked out of the room in a hurry.
