Aaron's POV
I discovered Elena and Lily in the palace garden. The garden was in full bloom despite having been kept out of the sun for more than a millennium. Elena did not notice my entrance. Her attention was drawn to the fragrances and aesthetics of the flowers in the garden.
“It’s beautiful,” I answered her thoughts.
"Yes," she stated, starled. "How is that even possible?"
"It is Lily's doing," I replied.
“But?”
With a soft smile, I extended my hand and Lily flew closer and came to sit on it.
“She’s an earth fairy,” I whispered. "You will never meet someone as kind as her."
“How did she get here?” Elena asked.
"She was born in this place," I sighed. "Scylla lost a piece of her soul when she tore this place apart. Her affection for the city people had turned to sadness."
