I sent Alisa out with Brooke to get some fresh air, while I talk to Egbert, Colin, and Rudolph. Technically, Alisa is now a part of my personal council and should sit in on the meeting, but she reached her limit for the day.
“To think,” Egbert remarks dryly. “You almost allowed her to leave.”
He’s talking about the money and documents I told him to give to Alisa. We had a massive fight over it. Fearing for her safety with me, he wasn’t too gung-ho to keep her around as my companion, but he also didn’t agree that we had to send her away.
His solution was to keep her on as member of staff. Unlike some of the guards, Egbert couldn’t, or perhaps wouldn’t, sense Alisa’s true self.
