I can hear the voices outside my room as I wake up. Max, Alexia and Evie. All people I love and care for. I don’t get up just yet, the bed is way too nice to get out of right now. As I look at the window, I can see the light slip between the curtains, it’s still very much day.
Everything had become too much. The stress over the wedding, the media, but also the plane and the car trip. I’m normally not very good with motion and this wasn’t any different. And then when we came here... I had wanted to sleep so badly, but I couldn’t.
My family, Max had found them. I had tried looking for them, years back. But I obviously didn’t know where to look, or maybe Max just did know where to look.
My dad, my aunt and even an uncle and a cousin. Wow. I never expected to ever see them again,
