Chapter 21With everyone assigned their respective tasks before the meeting broke up, Alex picked up his phone to call P.C. Black. “Hi Stuart, Alex Warren, here. I'm calling to ask if you've made any progress.”
With Alex not quoting his rank, yet speaking in familiar terms, it took Black a moment to recognise who he was talking to and the meaning of the question. “Sorry, Sir. I should have got back to you, but we've been run off our feet.”
“Same story everywhere. Is it a yes or a no?”
“Well, Sir, there is some progress, but we haven't got too far yet. I told my Sergeant about our suspicions with the flyer from the electrical repair company. He said he'd let me run with it, in between my other duties. He said not to approach the company yet, but instead make some more background enquiries
