Chapter 10Knowing Sandra's love of red roses, Alex detoured past the Ibrox ASDA superstore to collect every one they had left on their shelves. After parking at the hospital, he gathered the flowers and laboured with multiple bags before arriving on the ward to visit Sandra and their child.
As Sandra and the baby were both sound asleep on his arrival, he took his time to fill vases and arrange the envelopes for her inspection, placing the gift bags on the floor. He then sank into the visitor's chair to rest his weary bones. Almost immediately, his eyes closed, and he drifted into oblivion.
