Congratulations, Miss Avery, you are six weeks pregnant. And for a moment my heart stopped working. I felt like I couldn't breathe, pregnant with the child of an unknown stranger, the man who took away my innocence and broke my trust even after giving him my trust entirely.

I stared at the white paper in my hand as tears rolled down my cheeks.
