Chapter Twenty-Two

I was back home. I was on the beach by my home. I glance back one last time at the ocean. My father waves to me. I wave back knowing he was fine. Knowing I would see him any time I wanted. I smile having some pride to know I was a sea princess. I had a family. I was not the same girl I once was before. I rush back to my home. Eager to hug my mother and tell her how much I missed her. I knew she was worried about me. I had so much to tell her about my life. I get home and no one was home. I glance around. I head upstairs to her room where she normally was at reading. Her light was on. It looked like she had not been home in days. Food had been sitting out on the counter in the kitchen. I begin to feel worried about where she was at.
