Groaning, I licked my chapped lips, blinking as I slowly opened my eyes. The first thing I noticed was the IV drip connected to my right hand, as I raised it up, shielding my eyes from the bright light coming from the open window. The second, was the unfamiliar hospital room I was in. Slowly I sat upright, resting my back against the headboard of the bed I was in. I was wearing a hospital gown, with bandages around my tummy and legs. I examined my body, surprised that most of the bite wounds had completely healed up. I frowned, coughing slightly at how dry my throat felt. Thankfully, whoever brought me here had left a jug of water by my bedside.
