  The wind grew colder as the hours passed and soon Alesso and I were stuffed with all that we had eaten and were drunk with laughter and joy. I felt my blood pump through my veins faster and faster during the night and when we got up to leave, I almost stumbled on my feet, but Alesso held me steady and in his light eyes, I watched as he remembered what he had told me earlier about not going to catch me again when I fall. We laugh as before, and walk to his car. I see Connor in Hercules’s black vehicle in the car park and I give him a smile, sending the message that I'm perfectly fine and ready to go home. He doesn’t nod back but just watches us as Alesso helps me into the passenger seat of his Rolls Royce and starts the engine obliviously. “I hope you had a good time, cara,” Alesso says
