Her words made my gaze lock for a split second on the medical report in her hand. Diaia shot me a sneering, defiant look. "Emma, what are you still standing here for? You have nothing to do with him anymore! We're getting our marriage license real soon!" I smiled, relieved. "You two could even walk in and get your license right now for all I care. Congratulations on the wedding." With that, I turned on my heel and left. Right then, Liam was propping himself unsteadily against Diaia, fumbling to grab the diagnosis report from her hand so he could tear it open and read it on the spot. All the weird, unexplainable symptoms he'd been having nonstop lately had made it impossible for him to brush off the fact that something was very wrong with his body. I didn't spare them a second glance.
