We had been running solidly for 4 hours and had finally made it back to the summer house. We hadn’t said much since Crew had suggested we run away from all of our responsibilities, from our family, from our destiny. He had tackled me and challenged me, and as much as I understood where he was coming from, we couldn’t put one wolf's life and feelings over that of thousands. We had to marry River in order to save our pack and our family, and ultimately, Blue too. If rogues invaded our lands like father's source believes they will, they will kill everyone they deem unworthy, weak, and those who won’t bow down to them. That list includes my little wolf.
