As I was on the verge of passing out, I heard Henry's voice outside the room, saying, "Whatever you're here for, shouldn't you at least wait until the master is around before barging into my room?" His voice was low, seething with restrained anger. If it had been the Henry in front of me, he would've already exploded, throwing everyone out without hesitation. Yet, the Henry outside remained calm. His tone was gentle, even laced with a soft chuckle. "This isn't very gentlemanly, is it?" That voice—so tender, so familiar—was impossible to forget. All at once, it came back to me. Where had I heard that laugh before? Was it that night in the bathroom? Or… that sunny afternoon in the study, when he kissed my cheek? The memory flashed vividly in my mind, as clear as if it had just happened.
