“Hope said you think your scars were worse than mine?” Bjorn says, addressing King Dominic.
“As I said, I can’t see your scars, but mine were severe enough that I was unable to shift,” he says, walking down the stairs to stand beside my Lily.
“How did you get yours?” Bjorn asks.
“The usual way; abuse, torture, a silver-laced whip. I was stuck in my wolf form for nearly a century.”
“A cent …” Bjorn looks at me, then back at Dominic. “How old are you?”
Dominic smiles. “Older than I look. Will you show us? I know Queen Lily is anxious to determine if she can heal you. And I must admit, I can smell the Alpha on you. You’re a large man, so I’m assuming you were able to withstand quite a bit of torture.”
