11.Rise of the Gwactacon

"I'm sorry Jinn, sorry for doing this to you, I just received an energy devouring wave that took everything out of me, I do not even have it in me to keep you up. Best thing to do now is accept it and stay down, until I recover a bit. You should be thankful for what happened to you, I have the best reaction to this wave out of everyone else, you should see Tedra now, you'd cry just looking at her state, you'd even wonder if she'll be making it out alive.

-what is happening Sothperia? What made all of this happen.

-the Gwactacon, it was the Gwactacon. He made his hatching clear so now we need to prepare for the upcoming weeks.

-who is he? What does he do? How did he do this to you?

Part II: the cycle

-he's a creature that presents itself every random amount of years, he starts initially in a shell in the very core of the earth, bathing in magma. The shell does not break with physical force but rather emotional one, the shell feeds on fears and troubles of others. Upon collecting a lot of negativity, the shell's walls turn thin and he becomes able to break out of them. He then uses his special magic, called "emotion radiation" and spreads even more sadness and anger to the world, he generates radiation from his core that travels to the brain and alters its chemistry making it constantly nervous or angry, and also amplifying any negative emotions it's already feeling. The more divided the people get, the closer he gets to the surface. Once he fully gets up, he becomes very hard to stop, near impossible, even. Nobody can see him expect for you guys, but he can see everyone.

The thing that feeds him the most is suicide, as it is the ultimate sign of giving up, and murder, as it is the ultimate sign of hatred. He gets weakened by pacifism and happiness.

He just hatched, and when he first hatches he exerts the first wave of radiation which only Hyner and Sothperia holders can feel, currently Tedra is feeling unimaginable pain and distress, she is affected more than you because she holds the spirit of life.

-so only me and Tedra can fight him and his effects?

-no, of course not, actually the one that always weakens him the most is typically the Xancore holder due to their ability to talk people out of trouble and negativity. However, being the holders of the spirits most related to life and death, Tedra and you need to do some hard work too, specifically stopping suicides and murders. However, although we the spirits are very strong and are able to manipulate the past to an extent, we have no control over the future, and we cannot even see it, we can only produce logical discernment after observing certain events, so every time the beam of hope inside of someone gets close to dying or dies, you'll be told. Then, it is your job to look over the person and make sure they don't end it, a suicide in these days is so much more than the end of one life, it could become the end of many others very fast.

It is worth noting that the Gwactacon will only be interested in the people of your region, not internationally, however, if he gets a hold of them all, he will not shy away from taking over a bigger area, until he reaches the whole world. Saving people will recreate his shell and generate an energy that will forcefully push him back into it, the more you make peace the thicker the shell gets, until it returns to its original state. The, the world will take a few decades off of the Gwactacon. For now, I will be alerting my brothers and sisters of his looming, while you go find Tedra to have a special meeting about the situation, you'll understand what I mean soon."

Tedra was doing some school work when a sharp pain stung her in her lower stomach, at first she thought it was her period but it has just recently ended, then her vision blurred up and she became unable to see. She dropped to the floor, in so much pain she could do nothing but bite her teeth and rip her hair to try and feel some relief, she shouted quite a lot until her parents came in rushing to her room, every time they tried to touch her head she'd scream even louder. The sight was so concerning she got rushed to a hospital.

The hospital ran tests and found nothing wrong with her, so they concluded that it was stress, and in some way they were right; the Gwactacon's effects on Sothpheria and Hyner are different, given that Sothpheria is connected to death and morbidity, the creature can only weaken her, but due to Hyner's nature of being a life loving spirit, it can harm it way more. Sothperia is okay with death, Hyner is not, and the more the creature is opposed the stronger his first emission hurts.

The next day Tedra woke up early in the morning, Hyner activated her healer ability so it can be performed by her on herself, and it aided her get back up on her feet. Once back home he explained everything to her, and told her when and where to meet with Jin.

Meanwhile when she was still unconscious, the other spirits got the news of the creature through Sothperia, and they told their holders.

Flynn was scared of what may happen, he feared the powers of the Gwactacon and he vowed to try his best not to trigger any negative emotion in people around him.

Opal knew that he needed to take up the role of a therapist for some time, and he knew that he would be stealing people's memories a lot, because he couldn't wait for depressed strangers to come up to him, he needed to offer the help first, maybe even enforce it.

"Our relationship with the Gwactacon has always been so good, Pha, which is a bad thing in this case. During the 76th reincarnation, when the Gwactacon came to test the tribe, me and my holder were the ones to take over, it was a group decision, because the place we lived in was so corrupt there was no hope in fixing the people, so it was better to just annihilate them, or in this case make them annihilate each other. Allowing the creature's radiation to take over their minds made them destroy themselves and each other. After me and your past life spread enough havoc, the other holders took over and fought back not to allow him to spread any further to other places, we basically used him to cleanse the earth from a certain group of bitter, hateful and very very upsetting and hurtful people that had no hope in changing. However the people of this lifetime are not as bad, so we should not strive to do the same. Most of your actions do nothing but feed the creature and help it get stronger, the only time our wrath is justifiable is if we, for example, kill a pedophile, or something as extreme as that, he sees all of the rest as vain, so it's best to lay low these days, only watch as the others fight it, this fight is not made for you, trust me yours is coming, but not yet. Try being quiet every time you want to speak up, unless someone viciously crosses the line. Unlike normal people, you have the ability to act upon your anger and almost always get away with it.
