6. Work

I was sleeping in deep slumber suddenly, some weird notice of laugh came. I was sleeping peacefully and it woke me up.
I went downstairs following that annoying laugh. That sound came from the Kitchen, I went there and saw Liam watching T.V and laughing like a maniac.
I went towards him and tapped my hands on his shoulder.
"What happened? Why are you laughing like a maniac?" I asked him.
"Oh! So you woke up? Let's go now, we have to work today! Remember we are not here to roam the place. We came on a mission to save your dad's life."
"Umm... I was asking you that why were you laughing?"
"Umm.. actually I was watching my favourite comedy shows."
"What? You see Indian comedy shows?"
"Yeah, why?"
"But, you are from Vanrish. Right?"
"Umm.. I think you forgot that I am living here from more than a decade, so I am watching their shows." He explained with a smile.
"Okay! So, tell me that which work we have to do here?"
"Ms. Christian Louboutin, for your kind information, we are living in farm area, and this is my cottage. Yes, you heard it right. This is my cottage and this place is also of my name. I used to come here and work during vacations. Nobody over here knows my truth. And talking about work, so during day time we will help farmers and during night time we will go to bar, drink and flirt."
"Excuse me, we are here to find my missing father. For god's sake."
"Chill dude! I was saying that, you will sing in the bar and I will flirt with girl!"
"What?"
"Yes, you will work and I will flirt."
"How can you say that you will enjoy the party and I will work?"
"Umm.. I think just now someone was saying that, we are here on a mission and will not enjoy!"
"Okay, do whatever you want to do just don't disturb me. And ya I can't sing." I was really annoyed.
"Really? Are you sure you can't sing?"
"Yes I am sure!"
"Umm.. yesterday, while packing my bags I heard a humming voice from the bathroom!"
I was unable to react. How did he knew that?
"Umm.. I.. I.. don.. don't know who was that?"
"Don't lie, at that time, you were in the bathroom."
"Ok fine. I can sing!" I said in a hurry.
"Good! Now get ready we will go for work."
I went upstairs, got ready and came downstairs. We finished the breakfast and went out for helping the farmers.
"Hey young man! How are you? Is she your girlfriend?" An old lady said as soon as we reached out.
I was shocked to hear that word "Girlfriend." He is of my grandfather's age. For god's sake.
"No granny. She is my sister." Liam said.
Thank god!!
"Okay pretty girl, you are here to help us with your brother?" Asked the lady.
"Yes granny" I replied gently.
"That's good, now let's start the work." She said. We both nodded.
He asked me to follow me, I did it. We then started sowing seeds. I was engrossed in my work, suddenly my foolish stomach started making noises.
"Seems like someone is hungry." Liam laughed while I glared at him.
"Oh girl, okay let's get some rest, it's already lunch time." The old lady said, we all sat down and started having food.
We were engrossed in food, while my mind hit something. I wanted to know about him as it is, I already said him about my past.
"Liam?" I called him.
"Yes?" He asked me to speak further while looking at his food.
"Tell me about your past!" I ordered him.
"I already told, Christian."
"I want to know more like how you came and all that."
"Okay listen....
Flashback:
Liam's POV
I was 26 when I went missing. We were having vacations. Our friend circle have 3 people: me, Elijah and James.
We have planned to spend our vacations in hills. After around a week, we went there.
We were on the way and we were about to cross that area which is restricted as red zone now. We were passing through it, suddenly we noticed a creepy door. We have not seen it in our lives.
I decided to ignore it, but Elijah was just too stubborn. He said that he want to visit it. James also said the same.
Saying this, they went inside it. I didn't wanted to left behind so, I also went.
I remember, that whenever I go inside, I hear some scoopy noises, like it will swallow us now.
The inside view of the door was just too different. It's design was like a time machine.
The moment, I reached out of it I was just shocked of the view infront of me.
It was not like our planet. There were many building, the road was busy and the road was too nasty and filthy.
Suddenly, someone saw us and started screaming. 3 of us were arrested by police.
The next thing that I know was, we were in a dark room surrounded with scientist's. Elijah got up and was about to run, suddenly the police inspector shot him. James and me run the hell outta there. We were running suddenly I fell down. James was coming to pick me up, suddenly the police inspector came. I hid myself inside the bushes and James succeeded in running away from there.
The police inspector was searching for me. Evan I don't know, from how much time I will stay here.
The scientists had no other option left, he checked the body organs of Elijah and made TUMAN.
I was roaming here and there not knowing what to do? I can't to back now, as they had his the door somewhere.
I went to the lab of those scientists and without there acknowledgement, I took away the TUMAN and ran. I didn't knew how it works.
I started discovering it's buttons. Slowly, I got to know the purpose of it and uses.
I saw a truck. I went to my human form and sat at the back of it.
I didn't knew that, where this truck is going? Suddenly, after 2 hrs it stopped infront of a farm area. I went there.
From here, I got to work for the farmers. They even gave me a cottage to live. I even used to check what's happening on the Earth due to this TUMAN.
A few years, I came back to the city area. There Evan and his boss caught me and manipulated me to work with them.
Flashback ends....
"So, this is what happened!" I said after narrating the incident.
"Ooh!" She said.
We both then got back to work. It was evening time we both went back and slept for a while.
