Accepting Mercy

Third party POV...

Andrew was stopped in his pace as soon he heard the word Dada...Dada... And turned back to see who it was. He looked at a beautiful toodler girl who is nearly 1.5 years old. She is so innocent with beautiful blue eyes just like him and pleasant smile and cute lips with silky soft hair wearing a pink frock with matching socks. He didn't uttered a word by seeing her as he was fearing the worst thing about to happen and it happened when she came near to him and hold his hand and said Dada...

Andrew looked at Veronica with tears in his eyes, and she said, 'Mercy, our daughter, the result of that night'. She controlled her emotions and said to Mercy that, Dada came now from long distance and he need some rest so you go and sleep, he will play with you later. She like a obedient child agreed to her mother and went inside saying Good night and kissed my hand.

As soon Mercy went inside her ward, Andrew collapsed on the chair nearby, and was stunned for the result of one night. Veronica sat beside him and consoled him telling that, " I don't blame you for what happened that night as i loved you since then and i don't even want to disturb you, thats the reason i never met you till now. But i don't had any other option today because of Mercy."

Andrew asked her, what happened to Mercy?

After a long pause, tears in her eyes, she said Mercy is going to die because of her cancer. By god's grace i had money, and her treatment was going well but suddenly she got reluctant to take treatment because she wants to meet her dad. She rejected two days continuously and i started persuading her convincing that i would let her meet her dad. But she is became so stubborn that she stopped taking medicines and started throughing away and fell unconcious since morning. Left with no other option i called you, jusy to introduce her you as her father as these are her last days as there is no hope left for her survival. I thought to fulfill her last wish.

I didn't called you for money Andrew, i just want to see my daughter happy.

Andrew became so emotional and he agreed that he would take care of both and will stay together for Mercy, so that she can live happily, on her last days. 

They both became emotional and hugged each other. Once they were subtle, Veronica asked about his wife, Angela and how she would react.

Andrew said as we had no option, i should explain her and if you don't mind you both can stay in our house. And he asked how do you know my number and details about married life.

Veronica smiled and said, ' I have been checking on you and loving you since that night '.

Then why didn't come to me after that night? Atleadt why you haven't said about your pregnancy?
