*Kyan* We get back to school, and both of us walk to our room, but I can’t stay in there with Emory. Not now. I tell him I’m going outside, and then I head out, hoping he has enough common sense to stay in the room and not get himself beat up again. Once I’m outside, I head to the woods around our practice fields. I strip, shift, and take off running. It’s exactly what I need to do to get my head on straight. The last couple of days have been full of shocking discoveries and confusing scenarios. But when I am my wolf, none of that matters. These woods are not all that familiar to me.
